Visited Carnes Steakhouse this past Thursday and had an outstanding dining experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was attentive and professional without being intrusive. The ambiance was elegant yet comfortable, perfect for a special night out. The highlight, of course, was the steak—cooked to perfection, flavorful, and tender. The sides and wine selection complemented the meal beautifully. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches in the presentation and timing. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a top-tier steakhouse in San Juan. Will definitely be back.

Great restaurant, hospitality and the architecture was beautiful

An unassuming entrance and 4 flights of stairs was met with a lovely rooftop setting. Tables were spaced wide apart, so you could have a conversation without having to talk over your neighbors. Cocktails were strong and beautifully presented and the chicken dishes were flavorful and not dry. The only issue we had was the service was slower than desired. Other tables got their drinks and food way before us and we were seated first. It took 20 minutes to get our check. It’s a lovely spot, but be prepared to have a leisurely evening.
