'The Crabtree, with its spectacular position downstream from The River Cafe,has a huge sprawling garden, a glazed colonnade and frontage on to theThames shaded by a weeping willow. The prawns in chilli hot oil and the toastspread with tomatoes and onions were good, so much so we ordered themagain when we returned for Sunday lunch. Sunday roasts with 'all thetrimming's' - we tried beef and pork - had everything a Sunday roast shouldhave. Somewhere rather spiffing to go' (Fay Machsler, Evening Standard)

Il Portico es el restaurante dirigido de forma familiar más antiguo de Londres. La Palombe is a new neighbourhood bistro from restaurateur James Chiavarini (also of Il Portico) & chef patron Jake Leach (previously head chef at the three Michelin starred The Ledbury).A large wood burning grill takes center stage where the majority of the dishes are cooked over live embers. James & Jake work together every shift to serve dishes with a real sense of terroir and provenance, including our speciality of wild foods foraged ourselves. Expect wild noisette venison, Wiltshire truffles (thanks to our house truffle dog Alba!), rare woodland mushrooms, and much wonderful produce from our small organic farm in Kent.The wine list is sourced entirely from independent producers, and regularly updated with a specialised focus on low intervention, natural and biodynamic wines.We are across the road to the Design Museum & Holland Park, a 10 minute walk from Kensington Olympia and a short distance to the Royal Albert Hall.
