A 97th birthday lunch in Pleasant surroundings and good food. Everybody was happy.

The food was good quality although the service while polite and welcoming could be a lottery due the lack of training. The main issues with forgetting to remembering to bring an item. They would also bring what you requested and walk back to the kitchen empty handed despite there being dirty tables.

A lovely restaurant with a great ambience, friendly helpful staff and excellent food.

We had a good welcome ( the only people dining at 16.00). The service was good and the food of good quality. We did feel that the menu was rather overpriced. We have had meals of similar quality and better in cities such as London and Edinburgh at a cheaper price. Not sure why the overheads would be more expensive in a small pub off the beaten track. Would recommend this restaurant as offering good food from a small menu but rather overpriced.
