This was a return visit after hearing of their improvement. Food was really good and tasted lovely. If a bit pricey. We had bread and olives, which were both very tasty and the bread was warm. Mains were chicken breast and rack of lamb, both with a lovely individual taste, especially the sauces. We shared the house Prosecco which was punchy. Service was a bit lack lustre, it feels odd not to have a maitre de when you arrive into a group of tables with people already seated, kind of like walking into someone else’s dining room. We had to ask to order drinks, then it picked up. The ambiance was very quiet but then some music started played which added some atmosphere, this stopped after a few song though. Much better than our previous visit but I still think 5/10% overpriced.

Really lovely afternoon tea! Home made warm scones, good variety of cakes and sandwiches and a lovely little chocolate mousse. Beautifully presented. Very nice attentive staff and a very quiet area so our group could chat and be heard without competing background noise. Very nice afternoon an we will definitely be back!

Dined here at 8pm food was amazing, delicious perfect size and presentation. Service was very good. I would recommend dining here.

Compliments to the chef and his staff for once again a wonderful Sunday Carvery Lunch. All restaurant staff extremely friendly and helpful. I have 2 elderly parents with mobility issues but there is always plenty of space in the restaurant. Wish you did the Carvery more often. Will be going again as my parents are small eaters and being able to choose how much and what they want is brilliant. Thank you all so much.
