This hip and trendy restaurant in the Cooper-Young district of midtown Memphis does both, as it conjures up images of a ‘50s-style beauty shop, formerly Priscilla Presley’s curl-and-dye spot. It’s a camp wonderland where the façade is Jetsons-era Vitrolite, and choice seating is offered beneath hooded Belvedere hair dryers.Nostalgia is served with a sense of humor here. The beauty shop flashback comes complete with original mint green wash basins filling in as sinks behind the hand built bar, made of tiger maple wood. The terrazzo floor is original.     Our party of 6 was greeted quickly and our table was ready when we arrived. We all enjoyed drinks and delicious food. My favorite is always the BLT with fried green tomatoes. Th onion rings are a great start to any dining experience at The Beauty Shop. The food is always consistent making TBS one of our favorite restaurants in Memphis. Can't wait to try brunch again. It's been a while but we will check it out again soon!

    First visit to Complicated Pilgrim…we made reservations during a play at Hattiloo Theatre. We were seated earlier than our reservation time. Host was friendly; service was superb. The food was excellent; I ordered the lunch special, chicken lollipops and my husband ordered the chicken sandwich. It was a beautiful lunch. We will definitely return for a dinner service.

    I thought the food and service were outstanding. All of the staff were extremely nice and helpful. The club sandwich and the avocado and chicken sandwiches were some of the best in town with more than ample portions and reasonable prices. I would recommend this restaurant
