Best Lunch Restaurants in Altrincham

The staff couldn't have been more helpful, all of them! So chatty, friendly, accommodating! Thats what stood out for me from my experience. The food was delicious - especially the Duck salad and the Duck Bao buns, 10/10! Cocktail and wine also very nice. Would 100% recommend

My friend and I walked in to Higher Ground and were instantly greeted with a warm welcome and guided to the Kitchen-side seating. The staff kindly took our shopping bags and put them in the backroom to avoid obstruction of the walkways. Every member of staff we encountered acknowledged us while offering a smile. The service was excellent and incredibly organised, with perfect timing. A mouthful left in our wine glasses was immediately attended to by being asked if we would like another. The team in the kitchen worked like a well-oiled machine; calm, clear, and meticulous in their preparation of the Lunch Seasonal Menu. I was surprised at how little disturbance and clattering there was during our meal while sitting so close to the action, just the occasional drawing of attention to the respectful chirps of "Yes, Chef". The food was beautifully presented and delicious. I'm so happy we tried the seasonal menu which regularly changes based on what produce they have grown. Every course was lovely and felt intentional. It is probably one of my favourite dining experiences. We enjoyed it so much we went to their bar next door in the evening 'Bar Shrimp' and sampled some of their Negronis, which had a great atmosphere too and the staff were equally as proficient. I actively encourage anyone to come here! I cant wait to come back to Manchester, just to try out another menu.

Excellent lunch at Albert's Didsbury. The lunchtime menu offered great value and the food was outstanding. We all chose the steak frites with peppercorn sauce, and every plate was cooked perfectly. The steak was tender and flavourful, the fries were crisp, and the peppercorn sauce was rich and delicious. We all finished with the sticky toffee pudding, which was warm, indulgent and a perfect way to end the meal. The service was friendly, attentive and efficient throughout, creating a relaxed atmosphere without feeling rushed. Also great to sot out in the sunny conservatory area! A great choice for a quality lunch, excellent service and consistently good food. Highly recommended.

The food and setting were lovely. It was clearly a very busy service and the team were attentive. We stayed around 90 minutes including dessert. You can feel the restaurant moving at a fast pace, which is fair on a busy day, though it did take a little of the ease out of the meal.

From the moment we was greeted at the door the staff were friendly polite & helpful with Happy smiles and very professional. The food was delicious and very nicely presented. The restaurant itself has beautiful decor and was spotlessly clean. I thought being that you are a captive audience really the prices were fair very Happy overall and it was a great start to our holiday.
