Best Lunch Restaurants in Aldwych

Our new treat to ourselves, as we're doing a class nearby on Mondays. Staff are really delightful - welcoming and funny. They seem to enjoy being with people, and that makes a difference. Starters, brie in filo - with the best little relish involving cranberries and balsamic. Superb. Coq au vin for the husband, and lamb for me. Both, out of this world. Flavours are so expertly balanced. It was to be a dry week for us - huh! We had to have a bottle of red, to show this food respect. It's half-term next week, so we'll miss this date, but hey - 4 more classes to go!

Had a lovely meal of sea bass. Fish was cooked to perfection. Our waitress was excellent making us feel very welcome. We dined early 4.15pm on a Sunday before going to the theatre. The restaurant was very quiet at this time. We will definitely visit again when in London town.

A gorgeous treat with wonderful service. Always our favourite place to come for schnitzel!
