The prawns were just stunning, cod cheeks were nice but I think over battered so will try catch of the day next time. I will returnMore infoLittle RockPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Folkestone•4.8
- KKenKent •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoWe wanted somewhere special, somewhere unusual for lunch and Updown Farmhouse met both criteria. The setting was wonderful as was the food and service. We very much look forward to visiting again.More infoUpdownPrice: Very Expensive• Italian• Sandwich•4.6
- TThe GastronautVIPLondon •133 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoROCKSALT is my favourite restaurant in Folkestone! On a marvellous sunny day, we were seated outside and enjoyed the views of the harbour. We ordered Oysters, Scallops and Salmon - All were perfect! Celebrating a friend's birthday, it was a lovely touch to decorate their dessert plate. Our wonderful waiter was knowledgeable, especially on English sparkling wines, and a really nice guy. The only thing I missed was the shipping forecast... I highly recommend Rocksalt!!More infoRocksaltPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Folkestone•4.5

- OTOpenTable DinerKent •1 review5.0Dined on Jun 5, 2025The Royal Oak is in walking distance, so we popped down one Thursday evening. It was fairly quiet when we arrived at seven so we had our pick of tables. There was a really friendly and helpful welcome and service, with drinks bought to the table. Food arrived before long. Chips were crisp outside and fluffy in, and a good portion. Chicken was as described on the menu, simple and tasty. Staff had a friendly chat with us when we left. The pub interior has had a sympathic make over, and is clean, comfortable and good to visit. The evening got busier, so a popular venue. We will be back.More infoRoyal OakPrice: Moderate• British• Dover•4.3
