Best Lunch Restaurants in Walker

This was our first visit to The Kitchen by W. Puck. The windows facing west have wonderful views of the river but in the late afternoon till sunset they have direct sun (they use screens). But overall it is a very nice atmosphere, waitstaff is professional, and all of the meals are an upgrade of traditional favorites. We tried the Weiner Schnitzel since Puck is from Austria. It was great.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the shrimp and crab cakes as an appetizer. Large pieces of crab. I ordered the surf and turf. The steak was perfectly made, very tender and juicy. Probably one of the best lobster tails I've had, seasoning was perfect. For dessert we had the chocolate Creme brulee, very tasty and crispy. Our waiter Dan was very helpful with our menu selections. He was great. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Love the decor. Great staff. Took unusually long for us to get our food and overheard others chatting about the same. When food arrived it was delicious and presentation was top notch.

Enjoyed every minute of our time at Scholar. From the phenomenal crab cake appetizer that came highly recommended to the main course, everything was perfect, including the drinks. Service was outstanding, the atmosphere was lovely and plenty of space between tables we felt like we had our own space and wasn't noisy at all. Excellent experience before going to see Chris Stapleton at Van Andel.
