We had a very nice Sunday roast, I had the pork belly and my wife had the sirloin beef, good portions and well cooked veg and the added bonus of cauliflower cheese on the plate instead of having to order as a side. There was a country music weekend on so the noise level was higher than normal but it did not detract from the dining experience at all..

We booked this only because it was the closest place for food to where we were staying. We read the many glowing reviews on the journey down so we’re looking forward to validating them. It did not disappoint - the menu was interesting with plenty of choices and the food we ordered was superb-tapioca crusted halloumi with delicious dips, chicken goujons with Asian slaw and fish & chips ! Service was excellent-invested staff, knew the food, served with enthusiasm & a smile etc. They were busy but the wait time was perfect! We will definitely be back! Have already recommended to friends who intend visiting! Don’t be put off thinking, with the many locals sitting drinking outside, that this is just a pub - it is a pub but with a great restaurant! We can’t wait to go back!

The food was well presented and the service was very good We were a party of 5 , the food came out together, and was excellent everyone of us thoroughly enjoyed their meal, A little bit expensive but well worth the money. The inside of the Sloop appears to have been recently renovated and looked great.

Lovely, friendly staff and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend and we will be back!

Great place, the service was friendly and attentive, and the food was out of this world. The price was high, which was my only gripe.
