Welcome to The Boat Inn.The Boat Inn Penkridge was built at the same time as the Staffs and Worcs Canal in 1779 and is one of the old ‘Gateways’ to the Village, for many years it was the first or last stopping point, as locals and visitors travelled along the Cannock Road.     We really like going to the elms, good food, nice people very clean, good prices and free entertainment. However we booked the table for 7:15 we were seated at 7:00 we didn't get our food till 8:00. If the service was a bit quicker I would give them a 5 star review.

    The boat inn has become mine and my friends favourite place to eat . The food is great , not expensive but tasty . The food service is good - we never have to wait too long for our food and the waitress, waiters are friendly helpful and polite . I have the same meal each time - the belly pork and my friends like the English breakfast as they are tasty and very good portions . I really enjoy visiting this pub.

    Albert Cafe is such a lovely place, especially the outdoor seating beside the river. I booked a table for my family to celebrate a wedding and the staff were absolutely lovely. They were accommodating and all so kind. We had the lovely surprise of having a bite to eat (which was delicious!) there whilst the Pride Festival was on and we were treated to listening to the music playing there all afternoon. It was such a lovely environment and I'd recommend it to everyone, we'll definitely be going again :)
