First visit to the Lamb. Party of 6. The food was very good as was the service. We were looked after very well.

Beautiful terrace with stunning views of the gardens nearby and a very cosy pub inside. The service was efficient, polite and friendly. The food was very nice and the portions very generous. The only downside was that the fish was not super-fresh. The dessert was to die for. We went with our daughter and she was happy to explore the play area around and play chess with her dad in the real-life figure board in the garden. After lunch, we went for a walk to the ruins and had a swim in the river. A fantastic day for a special celebration in family!

Me and my other half went to the Shilton Rose and Crown for her birthday and weren’t disappointed. The service and food provided were exceptional. Matt was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the food he provides and served. Would 100% recommendation and dine there again.

Not set foot in the Broad Face for twenty years, only met a friend there as it was a convenient location but so glad we did! Welcoed warmly, shown to our table, drinks ordered and arrived barely before we had sat down. An extensive menu, very reasonably priced and our hostess took time to.talk us through all the options. We ordered and the food arrived swiftly and was first rate, again our hostess checked without being intrusive if all was well and it was good. The pub has a lovely feel and has both booths and tables as well as places to sit if you just want a drink. Really impressed that a good lunch for two was well under £40 and wil be booking again for sure. First class from low expectations!

The Fleece overlooks the green in the heart of beautiful Witney. Parking was plentiful and the perfect place to stop for a stroll around the shops too. Greeted by a warm welcome, we were shown to our table and served by James, who couldn’t have provided a better service. I chose from the specials board, Asparagus to start then the delightful Monkfish, cooked in paper to retain the juices and sitting proudly on a bed of mussels, olives and sweet tiny tomatoes. My Husband, the birthday boy, had crab and then the succulent rolled Pork Belly. All the food was delicious, served promptly accompanied with a very tasty cocktail. No room for pudding. Sadly, the Fleece is about two hours drive away for us because we would undoubtedly return regularly. If you are in the area, don’t miss this opportunity. We loved it.
