Best Kid Friendly Restaurants in Carmel

Great food, great service.enjoyable dining experience..

My wife and I noticed this restaurant on Friday night as we were strolling Carmel-by-the-Sea. We made reservations for Saturday. This was the perfect place for us that night. We wanted a relaxed environment with a fireplace. Village Corner delivered perfectly. We sat directly next to the fireplace. My Cioppino was fantastic and ton of food for my hearty appetite. The live music was nice and the musicians were fun and polite. Will definitely be back again.

Basically the dinning area is enclosed by large windows. The setting is very nice and airy(roomy). I ordered the Liberty Duck Breast, medium rare, for myself and daughter. It, as usual, was outstanding. I’m not sure why it isn’t busier than it is. It is one of finest restaurants on Cannery Row. The is on par with the food, outstanding. When I am in Monterey it is always one of my stops.

Kicking off the New Year enjoying a spicy lunch, the BEST margaritas sitting in the corner booth next to the fireplace. As regulars we were met with one of our favorite servers that remembered we love their salsa bring us extra along with warm seasoned tortilla chips as we waited for our chicken/beef fajitas that arrived on a sizzling platter with lots of onions, peppers, tomatoes and a slightly charred jalapeño..yummo. Cheers to 2025!!

Great food, cute location, friendly server! Also had live music- a bonus since it was unplanned-for. Since we had a group of 4, we went for the "small" island basket, which was 3 entrees and 2 appetizers on a giant woven basket / platter. Very special experience (and SO much food :-) Only downside was that we'd originally made lunch reservations but the restaurant was clearly not open when we showed up (on time for the reservation itself; half an hour after the restaurant's opening time for the day). Ended up going in for dinner instead (hence the "unplanned" part of the live music). Would highly recommend, aside from the owner's opening-up glitch.
