Best Kid Friendly Restaurants in Battery Park City

The food was excellent, and we really enjoyed the service. However, the hostess made the experience frustrating from the start. It was very hot, and although I was ready to order for both of us, she refused to seat me and made me wait outside until my guest arrived. That felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. Also, we were disappointed to see a 22% tip already applied to the bill without any mention or acknowledgment. Great meal, but the lack of basic courtesy and transparency was disappointing.

The pizza at La Pizza & La Pasta was absolutely wonderful—fresh ingredients, perfect crust, and full of flavor. However, the service didn’t quite meet expectations. Our server seemed impatient and not very attentive, which took away from an otherwise great meal.

The service was extremely flexible and attentive for our large party of 10 - between losing 1 person at the last minute and coming from a graduation that was making us later than our reservation, we tested the bounds of how they might reasonably treat us and yet they were lovely, kind, flexible and attentive. We went from worrying about being late to feeling like we were in the perfect spot to celebrate the graduation that we were there to celebrate- a place we’ve gone before for delicious food and now were at to celebrate a very special and personal family event. The food was delicious as always and the service was wonderful and we felt like we were at home.
