Our “finest hour” was most definitely during the Battle of Britain in World War II, when we were commandeered by the RAF to serve as an auxiliary mess for Fighter Command at RAF Kenley. Today we serve a refreshing range of lager, ale & wines and a menu that reflects the great British pub, using fresh ingredients all cooked to order.     I thought the restaurant was great for its ambience with the chef's easy to see at work and a busy atmosphere, while you were not hurried. We had booked and it was a good job as the restaurant was popular. We were given a great seat right by the open window with an outlook onto the activity outside. Alice, the waitress was very attentive and efficient with a great smile. The food was amazing - beautifully cooked with a wide range to select from. We had three mezze dishes and two mains - the Arnabit cauliflower and Chicken Shawarma dishes! The house rose was a great pick as well. We will visit again for sure!
