Following the success of his first restaurant in Vauxhall, chef and founder Ajay Chaurasia has opened a second site in Wimbledon, bringing his own personal take on Indian cuisine to South-west London. Join Landlord Stuart and Head Chef David for a weekend breakfast, daily lunch or supper at the Wattenden Arms. Built over 150 years ago we are a hidden gem close to the famous Kenley Aerodrome. Our “finest hour” was most definitely during the Battle of Britain in World War II, when we were commandeered by the RAF to serve as an auxiliary mess for Fighter Command at RAF Kenley. Today we serve a refreshing range of lager, ale & wines and a menu that reflects the great British pub, using fresh ingredients all cooked to order. We welcome the local & wider community, walkers, cyclists & four legged friends. The bar is open daily from 11am-10.30pm and food times are detailed in our business hours below.

We had a voucher which meant our meal was extremely value for money. Steak was cooked well, calamari and burrata with toast were nice, truffle green beans were delicious and crème brûlée was great and quite a large portion. All the staff were friendly and attentive. We sat outside so wouldn’t be your typical “French bistro” type of ambience but we enjoyed the hustle of Broadway Market.

We came on Sunday to celebrate my son's 17th birthday. and were very pleased. The food was excellent and everyone had a great time! My sister commented that the beef was amongst the best she had ever had since it was very juicy and tender. Also, we were allowed to bring a birthday cake. Thank you!
