We had the short ribs appetizer, duck ragout, and pork shank. The pasta for the duck was perfectly al dente. Everything had a nice presentation. We were full without being stuffed. The drinks were good (the old-fashioned was a little watered down) and, while we did not get a smoky drink, it was fun to watch other guests have them served up. The noise level was just right for date night. This was our first visit so I do not know if that was because it was all couples or if that is their normal sound level. We will definitely go back.More infoGlenPharmer DistilleryPrice: Expensive• Distillery• Franklin•4.6

All was delicious and our waitress was lovely. Thank you very much. It was a great Valentine’s Day.More infoThe Chateau - FranklinPrice: Moderate• Italian• Franklin•3.7

The meals (greek salad w/salmon, mushroom & ricotta flatbread pizza) were good. Personally, the globs of ricotta scattered on the pizza don't add anything to it. I'll ask for it without the cheese next time. Chocolate chip cookie for dessert was different from what I remember. I remember a flat cookie in a small cast iron frying pan. This was shaped more like a muffin. I like the flat one better. It was unusually (and very pleasantly) quieter than normal. Given that it was lunch time on a Thursday, the place was almost empty.More infoTavern in the Square - WrenthamPrice: Moderate• American• Wrentham•4.6
- BBethGreater Boston •4 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe arrived on time and were greeted with a big smile from the hostess, Linda. Our table was waiting and Theresa, our waitress, came over and brought water and took our drink order. We had some delicious Pinot Grigio (Fini) and started with clams casino, which were cooked perfectly. We then had salads which were crisp and fresh. We both got chicken picatta served piping hot. For dessert we had the crème brûlée. The restaurant had a nice crowd and the dinner was a perfect 10. My friend and I were catching up and never felt rushed. Theresa knew exactly when to check on us and always made sure we had what we needed. Basil has always been a favorite of ours and as we walked out we made plans for our next visit. People say this is a hidden gem in Medfield and they’re not wrong. Outstanding experience!More infoBasilPrice: Expensive• Italian• Medfield•4.8
