The Whippet Inn Steak and Alehouse is a sympathetically restored Victorian pub with quirky modern twist, giving it an understated decadence. This welcome addition to the York restaurant scene provides an adult only environment, hidden away on York’s North Street and celebrates the best in British food and drink.
The Whippet Inn’s main aim is to get the best food produce they can find in Yorkshire and then pair it with real ales, lagers, spirits and wines from around Great Britain. A fine example of this is their air dried on the bone 40 day aged Yorkshire beef from Ripon.
We are an adult dining restaurant only, as much as we love children and are raising a bunch of our own, we have decided to make this a little haven of tranquillity- a getaway for all.
