The restaurant provided us with a card and a dessert to mark the occasion. The service was amazing, and the food was perfect. I highly recommend this place for a special celebration.More infoRania DCPrice: Very Expensive• Indian• Penn Quarter•4.7
- FfionaVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoOur party came to La Grande Boucherie to celebrate a birthday, and was looking for an upscale fine dining experience. We got exactly that, and our server Tim made the evening incredibly special! A bread basket with warm baguettes was brought out with a lovely soft butter and flaky sea salt. I believe our table ended up having two more bread baskets throughout the meal. Our table of six shared three hors d'oeuvres: escargots, french onion soup, and foie gras. The escargots were delicious, done very classic and served out of the shell. The french onion soup was the crowd favorite. The foie gras was decadent, although the toast it and the escargots came with was a thick soft bread lightly toasted, and we preferred the baguette from the bread basket. For drinks I had the La Touissant cocktail and a Hendricks martini twist. La Touissant was a bright cocktail that was fun and bubbly. It was served in a stemless wine glass. My martini was perfect, and the stemware was stunning! The nicoise was my entree, this was well balanced and a healthy portion size. Others at the table had moules frites, porc diane, bolognese, ribeye, and duck cassoulet. Everyone enjoyed their entrees, although the ribeye came closer to medium than medium rare. After dinner we were deciding on dessert and five of us got Sauternes, and one got Amaro. The wine was lovely, and a great night cap. Tim then brought ice cream and champagne for our table to celebrate the birthday which was incredibly kind and made the birthday girl feel so special. I spoke to Tim as an aside to put my card down so there was no haggling at the end of dinner; he handled it incredibly well and snuck it back to me so no one noticed! The server assistant was also amazing, we were a boisterous table and everyone at La Grande Boucherie made sure we had a spectacular experience and my friend had a marvelous birthday dinner!More infoLa Grande Boucherie - DCPrice: Very Expensive• French• Washington•4.3

The staff is phenomenal, the playlist is incredible, and I cannot stop thinking about the dessert (smoked sweet potato that will forever live in my mind as the bananas foster roasted marshmallow dessert bc that’s what came to mind when I tasted it). I am a savory person, so the fact that a dessert stands out that much says a lot for me. The staff’s knowledge and explanation of each dish was top tier. The lamb course was also a favorite. I have never had lamb that did not have a hint of gaminess. If I could drop by and order the smokey king crab rice as a stand alone dish, I would. To be able to see the food preparation helped me savor and appreciate each dish. I cannot say enough about Jônt. It should definitely have 3 Michelin stars! The creativity snd flawless execution of each course make this a must go to place. Can’t wait to return to see how the menu changes. Hats off to Chef Ryan and his dedicated staff. Everyone is personable and in sync. You can tell the staff care about each other and the customers.More infoJôntPrice: Very Expensive• French / Japanese• U Street Corridor•4.9
- SSarahVIPWashington, D.C. Area •77 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe had a wonderful dinner at the Trulucks in DC last night. I had eaten at ones in Southlake and Austin, TX before but this was the first time here. They have Valet parking but if you arrive from the wrong side, there is a parking garage right next door which was convenient. We were warmly greeted and immediately taken to our seats after checking coats. Service was excellent. The wine list is good but not cheap. We had the green salad and tomato salad. Both were excellent and large enough to share. Dinner portion sizes were large as well. We had the petit lobster tails scampi and the branzino along with some extremely decadent potatoes with sour cream bacon and probably ten thousand calories. Two people could never finish those pitatoes as rich as they were. Excellent all but unable to finish anything except the lobster tails (but not the pasta). I highly recommend but either go hungry or with enough people that you can share at least the salads and sides.More infoTruluck's - Ocean's Finest Seafood & Crab - Washington, D.C.Price: Expensive• Seafood• Mount Vernon Square•4.7

Whether you’re dining for lunch and getting the Ribeye sandwich or enjoying an elegant dinner, Joe’s has never disappointed. I highly enjoyed the lamb chops—and the service was great, too.
