Within a beautiful Subiaco heritage building, a new neighbourhood wine bar has entered the scene on Hay Street. In the 1920s, the building was home to a provisions merchant owned by husband and wife Emily and Charles Lums. Their shop, EA Lums & Co, was a place for locals to grab quality ingredients from a family-owned shop. With the appointment of Nick Young as Head Chef, Lums offers a brand new, vino-friendly food offering.Nick’s resume boasts a wonderful mix of fine dining and funky neighbourhood eateries including Wildflower, Must, Bivouac and Lallah Rookh.     This is the second time at Rechabite and the second time we have had the set menu. This time we had the wagyu steak chefs special menu and it didn't dissapoint. The food was awesome and perfect amount. We were full by the time the dessert came round. The desert was outstanding and the wagyu steak was melt in your mouth tenderness. We will be back but may try options off the menu rather than the set menu, just for something different. 😊

    Perfect location for preshow dinner. Parking was easy on Saturday night and the added bonus was a 25% discount on our meal, by showing our tickets to the Regal Theatre. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.

    Food was fabulous. We went for the three course option and everything was delicious. Only thing was our service person did not open the bottle of wine or offer to pour. A bit strange. Water was also a bit scarce, we had to keep asking. Busy time though. Definitely be back 👏

    Great authentic Italian food with wonderful share plates which make it a great social event. Service is prompt and friendly with great advice given when choosing the appropriate dishes. Highly recommend.
