Best Family Style Restaurants in Taylorsville

La Caille is always amazing. Driving up the brick path to the restaurant and looking at the grounds is always beautiful. Valet service was immediate, and walking in you definitely feel like you're stepping into another world. We were seated promptly, and the staff were gracious and prompt. It was a bit noisy, but that was largely due to a couple of tables that were having a lot of fun. You can't begrudge them that. Our waiter was fantastic. We started off with escargot, which was delicious. Then French onion soup, which is the best I've ever had anywhere. I had the salmon, and my lovely date had the filet mignon. Presentation was beautiful, and the food was delicious. I had a glass of Russian River Pinot Noir, which was delicious. We had an amazing bread pudding dessert, and the staff even wrote Happy Birthday on the plate for my girlfriend. Overall, a wonderful evening. It is expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for. Highly recommended.

The food was great, the service was pretty bad. The waiter forgot half our appetizers. Took a drink away and never brought it back. Took plates/forks, we had to ask for new. Dropped off a piece of cheesecake for a birthday, no forks. We waited 10 minutes and had to ask the bar for forks. Getting drink refills was super slow. The restaurant wasn’t that busy.
