We travelled over 50 miles to hold a small family gathering to celebrate a birthday here and it was worth the effort (again - our third visit). The food was tip top - not just “the usual pub fare” but beautifully presented, quality lovely food. As a vegetarian I found the offering imaginative and very enjoyable which is more than I can say for a lot of places. The service, I have to say, was superb. The staff were well trained, on the ball and above all a lovely bunch of people.

Being a very warm Sunday we did not want a roast and all had the seabass which was delicious. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We took a friend from Portugal and it was a joy to be able to walk down to our local and share such an enjoyable delicious lunch with them
