Our aim is to be the central hub of the community, The Axe and Compasses is a traditional British village pub dating back to 1628, serving a wide and varied selection of quality lagers, cask conditioned ales, fine wines, and premium spirits. First time at the Orange Tree. Lovely setting, staff friendly and helpful. Table set beautifully and not crammed in. Special board and good menu catering for all dietary needs. Slightly disappointed with my Caesar salad struggled to find the anchovies and bacon. I would return but will not chose a salad. Park good but full by 8pm

Usual decent to good fare. Large portions. Good Sunday roast beef with great roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. Ghost Ship non alcoholic was very welcome. A little on the pricey side and just under 10 pounds for child portion of pasta is a bit stiff although it was a big portion. Perhaps smaller and cheaper is a better idea. Great very helpful service.
