Best Dog Friendly Restaurants in Newington

The best meal we’ve had in the UK so far! The service and staff were so wonderful, we really enjoyed our first night in Edinburgh.

Very tasty lunch at Cold Townhouse. We booked the terrace as the sun was shining. View of the terrace slightly obscured by tattoo seating, which did not detract from experience. Staff were extremely friendly & courteous. Service was very good. I had chicken caesar salad which was extremely tasty. My husband had The Grange pizza,which was demolished with gusto. Excellent lunch & great venue for a sunny day.

Dinner at Merchants exceeded expectations. Food, service and ambience were outstanding. Off the beaten path but worth the trip. Every entree was delicious and dessert was a sweet way to finish the meal. Friendly and welcoming staff added to the relaxed atmosphere

Don’t miss out on Greenwoods! This was probably the best meal we had over two weeks in Scotland. The menu is amazing and the execution is flawless along with excellent service. Plenty of great choices if you are vegan, vegetarian or have allergies. The menu is very unique and thoughtful with both classic and new combinations. We enjoyed a ginger, apple, carrot juice and the harissa roasted root toast - just fabulous! Not sure when we’ll be in Edinburgh again but we will definitely make a reservation at Greenwoods when we return!
