A welcome pub lunch when walking the SDW. Very steep path down so worth thinking about whether you want to walk back up afterwards or find another route from the pub. You have to order at the bar which wasn’t made clear to us on arrival. The starters make good “small plates”. Excellent squid! And nice rose by the glass!

The Cat is an excellent place to meet up - great ambience and superb food and service. And it’s reliable, which is so reassuring when arranging an outing for gatherings of family and friends.

Excellent food and choice of ales and wines. Staff attentive but not over bearing. Lovely location and very good value for money. We will be returning.
