Best Cozy Restaurants in Southborough

Food was really good, using local flavoursome produce. The service was also very good (we arrived early and they managed to accommodate us.) They gave use free olives and a set menu price for items that weren’t included, which was very generous of them. On the downside though, the furniture wasn’t great and the chairs weren’t comfortable. Due to the heat and the large glass windows, it’s was very hot. The decor needs updating!

Our Afternoon Tea was a very pleasant experience. The food was good - sandwiches were very fresh - and the setting was lovely. We had a beautiful view across the valley full of trees and not a house in sight. Lovely.

My wife and I had a wonderful dinner at Maxwell Restaurant at The Becket. Luis, was attentive and knowledgeable, and Chef Philip checked on us, a lovely personal touch - he was genuinely interested in our feedback. We started with venison carpaccio and roasted butternut squash soup—both were flavorful and well-executed. For mains, I had the fish and chips, which were crispy and delicious with an amazing tartare sauce while my wife enjoyed the tender roast duck breast with a rich red wine jus. Dessert was a highlight: the Canterbury tart with apples and salted caramel was divine, and the vanilla panna cotta with rhubarb compote was silky and balanced. The ambiance was elegant yet cozy, making for a memorable evening. We will definitely return!

Great service and hospitality , friendly staff and great food

Beautiful venue with such a nice vibe. Came here for a morning coffee and ended up staying for some lunch and an early afternoon cocktail in the cocktail bar. Service was very nice with nice people. Would definitely come back!
