We wanted to come back to this pub as it was my dad’s 89th birthday. We hadn’t visited for some time as we now live further away. The manager recognised us and was so kind…he treated dada to a beer and made him a plated birthday message which he really loved. The meal was great and we didn’t wait too long at all. This mad e my dads day really special so a big thank you.

All in all nice but a few things not happy with. Felt the champagne option for £50 was falsely advertised as 2 drinks with x…and y on the menu but we only got 1 for £14 per head extra! Not impressed by that and the server ever stated it’s ‘cheeky how they word it to trap you’. The food was lovely but the sandwiches were disappointing- not interesting fillings and the bread was dry as if it had been left out a while. I don’t feel it was worth £110 for 2 people.
