Everything we ordered was delectable. The anchovy toast was sublime. On first view, it seemed that there was an abundance of butter, but after the first bite, the realization loomed large; it was divine. We were a table of four celebrating Hector‘s birthday and we shared everything. The grilled calamari with rice beans and parsley oil was legendary. Although, Pasta Pomodoro could be ordinary everywhere else; at Delfina, it was extraordinary. Simple fresh spaghetti, tomatoes, a smattering of freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Ooh La La! The wood grilled short rib, fell off her big bones, and we sopped it up with bread and warmed ricotta cheese and added the garlicky chard for the green factor. Let me not forget the creamy and delicious potato gratinata. I washed this meal down with a medium bodied Tuscan Chianti, which married well with the competing flavors of this meal. To end this perfect evening, we shared Coco Nib Pavlova, caramel gelato, warmed chocolate sauce, and hazelnuts. A candle, a wish, a toast to Hector my friend and hairdresser extraordinaire. 49 Never looked so good . Yes. Happy birthday, Hector. Our server Sandra was exemplary with her suggestions, her personality and her vision.  In gratitude.

We love the food here and will make the drive from the east bay to indulge in chef Chris’ creations! I love how they switch up the menu so it never gets boring! Even the drinks were amazing and carefully curated! We will definitely be back for more! Thanks for all the delicious food!
