The Grape Variety is a neighbourhood, independent wine bar, shop and restaurant, selling great wines and food from around the world, located just 2 minutes from Chipstead Railway Station.We opened in the spring of 2018 with the aim that a wine bar should cater not just to experts, but to all, so we created one where our guests could unwind at the end of the day with a great wine in a warm, friendly and genuine environment, whilst getting sound advice about which wines to enjoy, as well as to take away.For food, we offer quality artisan cheese and charcuterie, alongside dishes such as baked Camembert, bakery sausage rolls, hot chorizo and potato, hummus with a spicy sauce, Spanish pâté and the like. Good service and good food but lady behind bar told us don’t usually cater for nine people as there wasn’t a table for us a couple kindly moved to allow us to occupy a larger one I would like to return but would they be able to accommodate us in the future

Brilliant as always. Perfect pizza, wonderful service and a great evening. Cannot recommend this place enough. By far the best pizza you will find anywhere.

Lovely rooftop location, staff are delightful. Few teething issues with the drinks menus but am sure this will be sorted out going forward as it’s early days. Very much look forward to spending more time here over the summer.
