A modern pub serving a frequently changing menu, available in our dining room, bar, and outside ledges. It's not fine dining, nor is it trying to be. We cook in a way that we as cooks like to eat, so don’t be afraid to share. If you want to pop in for a burger and a pint, feel free to grab any available space in the bar or outside. We accept bookings for tables of up to six people in the dining room.It can be loud and slightly chaotic; at night it is dark. We turn tables because we need to in order to survive and pay the people that make it work, so please don’t be offended if we ask you to wait a moment for your table. In February 2022, the renowned British-Nigerian artist Yinka Shonibare CBE RA, and project architect India Mahdavi transformed the Gallery with a new installation of artworks and interiors. Shonibare’s artist-conceived vision presented a new sunshine-yellow setting designed by Mahdavi, marking a new culture-defining chapter for sketch in its 20th year. Using applique and embroidery techniques on richly dyed fabrics, Shonibare illuminates the influence of African traditions on European conceptions of our modern-day world.

    Yet again an outstanding meal at Jolene’s! To be honest I can’t recommend anything in particular as it’s all amazing! I would think they change the menus pretty frequently too. The bread is delicious! We ordered 3 smaller plates and 2 larger plates to share, and a pudding! Only suggestion would be more craft beer or IPA on the drinks menu but apart from that it was superb.

    Small and intimate in size but BIG in flavour and comes with great front of house service. Small plates to share are the way to go here. The chef is Turkish and therefore the dishes have an influence of Turkish cuisine about them. Each dish is freshly cooked to order and the flavours were fresh and delicious. We ordered all of the small plates which we shared between the four of us and found this worked well. We even had a small space for a naughty desert! The wine was expensive to us (non Londoners) but a good selection to choose from and we were delighted to see some Austrian wine on the list which is unusual in Devon. We had a great evening and would love to re visit again sometime in the future. Thank you!
