A modern oyster bar focusing on Southern cuisine, highlighting fresh seafood and seasonal vegetables to share. Saltine, named as a nod to the plain cracker often served with seafood, pays homage to Jackson's rich history with oysters and seafood. Oysters are sourced from the Gulf of Mexico, east and west coasts and Canada and served raw, smoked, wood-fired and fried. Saltine also offers an extensive beer list with over 30 taps of craft beer, as well as a wide selection of rum and several signature cocktails. Lunch and dinner are offered daily with a brunch on Saturday and Sunday. Plus, happy hour specials daily from 4-6pm!

    Had reservations on a Friday. Restaurant was really busy with several big groups (over 12 people each). It was loud in the dining area and staff were jumping around getting tables cleaned/ready, seemed a little chaotic. We ordered the blackfish and salmon entrees and worried a little about our food because it was so busy . . . But the food was amazing!! Entrees and sides were perfectly cooked and flavors blended extremely well. Our waiter (Gavin) was outstanding.

    The food was outstanding. The Fried Green tomatoes and the Filet was perfect. We never received the dinner rolls. Service was a little slower than I liked. I feel on a busy Friday night one additional server would have been good to spread the workload around.

    Johnny T’S is a very nice place to dine, the atmosphere is very pleasant with a patio on the back. The food is off the chain it’s so good especially the Cajun Seafood Pasta and the fried Broccoli. As a matter of fact everything I’ve eaten there is delicious. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend this place to anyone that willing to find a nice restaurant. Oh did I mention that they have an upstairs bar and dining area also.
