I’m visiting from Boston. I have lived there for 30 years, but I was born and raised in Tokyo. So, I’m particular about authentic sushi. I just enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Masu. It's a very serious, authentic sushi restaurant—truly impressive even by Tokyo standards! Portland is lucky to have a place like this. Additionally, its selection of sake is outstanding. You can enjoy a wide variety of sake that you don't normally see in ordinary Japanese restaurants in the US. I was sitting at the sushi counter and enjoyed talking with chefs. My server was also super attentive. I hope I will return to this city and Masu!

The food and service was excellent. The little gem salad, Greek potatoes and Greek lamb chops were a hit. The restaurant gets a little noisy when full, however not in bad way. If you want a quieter experience their sister restaurant Dolly Olive is a great choice.
