Best Casual Restaurants in Des Plaines

Josh our server was on top of it. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and was very helpful. The food was delicious, mouthwatering, and full of flavor. The bottomless mimosas brunch was totally worth every penny. The restaurant was clean and so were the restrooms. My family and I will definitely be back here. This is a MUST-TRY restaurant if you are in the Rosemont area.

Always a treat to dine at Hugos. So happy that it’s 21 and over given it’s located in the casino. Food is consistently high in quality, and the servers know how to take care of their guests. Managers always pop in to check on the experience of the guests.

Excellent place for solo, couple, or group dining. The place is spacious yet inviting, with an upscale neighborhood hang out style. There’s a bar area with TVs, and then there’s a dining area, with tables and booths. The service is friendly and efficient…warmly greeted, not rushed, and the orders came out perfect…not a single thing wrong or missing. Water and bread frequently refilled, empty plates cleared quickly. The food is excellent—quality ingredients, nicely prepared and presented, and generous portions.

01.16.2025 Ryan, Bartender and Server Ryan, like Tina, his typical bartending partner (see below), does his job extremely well. He is thoughtful, professional, kind, polite, warm, caring, and genuine. His food and beverage ordering suggestions are always helpful and instructive. Ryan makes customers feel comfortable and valued. He always remembers and to my continuing delight, usually delivers my favorite libation without being asked. Also, as with Tina, Ryan treats everyone with the same high level of care and service, not only the regulars. We have observed him and them long enough to know. Of special note, one truly valuable and rare highlight of Ryan's character is that he is chivalrous. To be clear, every Cooper's Hawk Morton Grove employee with whom we have interacted has been above average. I point to these two in particular because they are exemplary. If I had employees or perhaps even children, I would feel quite fortunate to have Ryan and Tina be among them. This may seem over-the-top, though I mean it most sincerely. And I believe S. feels the same. Also, for clarity, we receive and expect no compensation for these reviews. We hope to provide some warm return and share our gratitude for people whose presence and kind assistance make our lives better.
