Best Casual Restaurants in Basking Ridge

I originally went to make a reservation at 90 Acres for my husband and my anniversary dinner last night but they aren't open on Tuesdays.) That was fortunate for us as we were able to discover Ladd's Tavern! We ate outside to enjoy the stunning view. I can only image it being even more breathtaking in the Fall when the leaves are brightly colored! We were greeted warmly by the host and our server was very friendly and attentive. I had the lamb chop and my husband had the chicken curry dish, both were delicious. I was actually relieved that our server forgot my appetizer as it would have been too much food! The music they played was fantastic! The Pendry Hotel is fabulous to walk through to reach the Tavern. We look forward to returning often.

The food was outstanding, the drinks were well made. Service was wonderful! They were friendly to our kids!

Always a great time at the Washington House -- our server was great, food was delicious and we love the tent!!

Excellent soup, bread, and entrees (chicken and veal Afghan specialties). A wonderful dining experience. We bought the “mock tails” to take home with us! The service was very attentive and friendly! Atmosphere was a bot too noisy but enjoyable!

Delicious meatballs and Mista salad. Just right for me for dinner!
