As I am a UK immigrant, you would think I’d have attended an Afternoon Tea prior to now, but I haven’t had the opportunity. That’s why I was so excited to take my daughter and her bestie for Afternoon Tea at California English. We booked it for 11:30 so we could enjoy a brunch vibe as well. We were seated promptly. The restaurant is an open space with plants reminiscent of a garden room. Very relaxing and pleasant. Our server was friendly and explained all our various options. All three went with the tipsy tea option, starting with tea cocktails. The girls chose the Mermaid’s Pool with pineapple tequila, fresh blueberry and lime. They loved their choice. I went with the Chai Tai, a delicious cocktail of rum, amaro, pineapple and chai syrup. The towers consisted of golden raisin scones, toffee madelines, chocolate tart, a miniature waffle cone with a chocolate filling, a lemon panna cotta, and finger sandwiches with a chicken tarragon salad and a spicy cheese spread with pimento. In addition to the tower feast, we ordered the hot honey fried chicken scone, lobster roll and the “Sloppy Joe” (pulled braised beef in a BBQ sauce). We had a lovely time. Wonderful food, friendly service and a pleasant environment. Highly recommend for Afternoon Tea or brunch.

We had such a great time at brunch today! I took my parents out for a late birthday celebration and they especially loved getting to sit outside and hear the live music from D4BBLZ. We loved the ambiance in the beer garden and even though it started raining, the vibes and the food were great! Definitely will be coming back for more brunch sessions to eat some good food and hear the great live music!

A very nice dinner, ambiance, food, service all very good. Pate appetizer plate delicious. Scallop crudo outstanding, Pork chop excellent. Would give 5 stars if wine wasn’t overpriced ($93 for a $35 retail bottle) and we didn’t feel a bit rushed.

The food was delicious! I really liked that there were unique food options on the menu. From the appetizers to the main dishes, there is something for everyone. I had the Chicken Schnitzel…it was flavorful. The broccolini was perfectly cooked. The chicken, encrusted in panko crumbs, was crisp yet light. The Loco Moco is also a very good entree. We have yet to have a bad dish at Public House🤗

We loved our dinner. The ambience was great and the service was fantastic. We’ll be back!!
