James Beard Award-winning Chef Andrew Black makes his way back to Skirvin Hotel to open his newest restaurant concept, Perle Mesta. The restaurant will be his first concept to open since winning a James Beard award as 2023’s Best Chef Southwest and will be located on the first floor of the historic Skirvin Hotel (One Park Avenue, Oklahoma City). Perle Mesta will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner service and the cuisine will reflect Chef Black’s continued exploration of what he calls “possibility cuisine,” a concept he attributes to his style of cooking that explores and embraces the endless possibilities of ingredients, flavors, techniques, and cultural influences. In this context, possibility cuisine involves chefs pushing the boundaries of traditional cooking and experimenting with unconventional ingredients, fusion cuisine, molecular gastronomy, or avant-garde techniques. It may involve a sense of creativity, innovation, and openness to exploring new culinary horizons.

Eating is a community experience. Like art, our restaurant is only as strong as the people who support it. We aren’t in the Paseo by accident. This place is home: filled with all walks of like-minded life that love to eat, drink and laugh the same way we do.That also goes for our vendors. We’re not just local because of who owns the kitchen. We buy our fresh ingredients from local purveyors and farmers, too. It’s our way of giving back to the same economy that keeps us going.Looking for a career? HumanKind Hospitality Services is a great place to work! Apply online.

Whether you’re here for our wood-fired, in house cut steaks, sushi, vegan items, or even Kelley’s chocolate cake, Broadway 10 has something special to offer everyone at your table.Street-level and mezzanine private dining will afford equally gracious space and our Chef’s Table offers parties of up to 6 guests private service close to the kitchen for a rustic glamour found only at Broadway 10.Our location’s tradition, mixed with the modern culture of our district, is something we enjoy and a direct reflection of how we see ourselves: a polished space with a refined menu in a casual, current atmosphere.

Unique food finds and an elegant atmosphere with excellent service. The only “downside” is parking. It is in a hotel so plan to valet.

We love the food, service is great. But tables are way too close together. You’ll get to hear every single word of the party sitting next to you if you’re into gossip :)

My elderly mother and adult daughter joined me for Tea Party. The location was lovely, couldn’t be more inviting. The ambience was pleasant and suitable for an afternoon tea. We enjoyed most of the food and the tea. The jasmine and chamomile were our favorites. We tried the hibiscus, but none of us thought it palatable. The edible tray was beautiful. Most of the bits were delightful. The steak on toast was very tough. The meat was cut with the grain and the bread was so tough I couldn’t actually get a bite! Other than that, the food was all one could expect. I did take issue with our server. She was quite dull, did not smile or act like she wanted to serve us. We had to ask to have our dishes cleared for the desserts as our tiny plates were filled with bits and pieces. The cost of the day was overpriced for the experience. We split one bottle of still water for $6 (we didn’t actually know water was not included). The $50 per person was excessive, but I think the experience, for one time only, was worth it. The digital communication from the event was frequent. It was unexpected that they would add the 20% gratuity on a table for three. She did not earn that. Overall, for a one-time event, it was good.
