Best Authentic Restaurants in Mount Waverley

Last night my partner and I and two friends enjoyed dinner at Attica - our second experience, their first. As last time, the food and beverages were fabulous. We noticed three things that had not struck us last time. Firstly, the non-alcoholic Negroni cocktail was a delicious start to the meal and also accompanied later courses, well worth the $21! Secondly, even though three of the four people around the table wear hearing aids, we could understand each other and most of the staff all night. This is a unique experience for us. The third highlight was the focused attention of our lead waitperson. All the staff we have encountered at Attica speak about the food with knowledge, respect and affection. They all seem to rejoice in being part of the great culinary experiment that is Attica. We had more consistent support this time - a single person who introduced most courses and dealt admirably with our complex food restrictions. Our waitperson also had a delightful sense of humour which enlivened the evening. Attica is a triumph. Make it your go-to restaurant for those nights you want to remember.

Just a simply outstanding suburban restaurant; everything they do to an exceptional standard; we are extraordinarily lucky to have such a wonderful “local” with such exceptionally high standards of food & service.

Great experience for our first omakase. All the ingredients paired so well together and were so fresh. Would definitely be back for the dinner service.

Our fave local. Excellent wine that’s really good value. Nice selection of food that’s substantial enough for a light dinner to pair with a bottle or two of wine!
