One of our favourite Italian restaurants. Rino and his staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Food is of exceptional quality and always full of flavour. Highly recommend.

My daughter had mentioned this as one of her go-to neighbourhood restaurants, so we chose La Perla for a relaxed evening meal during the week. For me "relaxed" starts with easy parking, and La Perla has loads of this. There's non-Clearway street parking outside, and quiet street parking around. I love "laid-back" for my dining ambience: From a warm and friendly welcome, to the hard-to-achieve feel of spaciousness in a small restaurant, this was a wonderful start to our meal. (The spaciousness comes from the excellent decision to avoid packing in as many tables as possible, a failing in many locals) But then there's the food.... So okay, a traditionalist, I have always held a couple of my favourite pizza cafes in Lygon St as my benchmark. Well, La Perla just nudged them aside. If you do not go there and order the Carta di Musica as an appetizer, and then their Smokey Mushroom pizza for a main, you will be doing your taste buds an eternal disservice. You can explore La Perla's wonderful and ...cosy?... menu for the detail, but both these dishes were absolute perfection to me. The cheese fondue sauce on the pizza was an out-of-body taste experience that I have not had for a long, long, time. Look... sure, taste is subjective, food especially so. I am usually very circumspect about "recommending" a restaurant. I prefer to say: I liked it, I hope you will too. But.. for La Perla I'm going out on a limb: Just go. I know you will love this magical little neighbourhood spot as much as we do. And that Smokey Mushroom pizza? My new Gold Standard.

Another wonderful evening at Tinto's – great food and drinks with outstanding service as always from Bernardo and Claudia. I introduced a friend to Tinto's who had never been there but has declared that he will be bringing some friends and family there for dinner very soon!

This was our third time at the restaurant and with the new owner/chef at the helm. We Absolutely loved the whole experience. the staff made sure my dietary needs were not only covered but absolutely delicious. The service was attentive and brilliant. It was so relaxing we didn’t even realise we spent over 3 hours enjoying fine food and wine, ambience and conversation. LOVED it. A Neighbourhood gem.

Everything was perfect. every dishes were incredible, all of staffs are very kind. Love this place
