Fearings never disappoints. Dean came out to our table and greeted everyone, the dinner was amazing and after dinner the patio was alive with music! Incredible night at the Ritz! Big thanks to Dean, Martin and Candace Hughes! Great folks! Highly recommend Fearings for a Special Night!
Most amazing dining experience!! Our waiter, Qain, so attentive and made our night!!! Also the owner and chef Dean Fesring walks around and talks to most diners. He is such a nice and funny guy, besides being an amazing chef!
We really, really enjoyed it. The service was incredible, the food was solid. The only reason I gave three stars for value was because I don’t know if the food, while very good, was good enough to justify the price. I think that’s more of a personal preference thing. It was very busy and heavy, and we usually go for lighter, simpler things.
The ambiance was great, though, and that certainly played into our overall experience being a very, very pleasurable one.
Thanks for putting effort into what you guys do! It shows.
I have been wanting to experience Fearing's for over a decade. Now I know why. I had the privilege of meeting Dean Fearing and taking a picture with him. He's incredibly kind and hospitable and makes sure everyone in his restaurant knows he is glad they are there. And our waiter, Martin', just special. Everything about the night was special. Thank you for exceeding my expectations beyond anything I had imagined the night would be like.
2nd time it has taken over 1 hour to get our food from time we ordered.
Flavor explosion. Always the best service and food!
Wonderful venue located within the Ritz-Carlton. We were seated without hesitation and our new favorite waiter, Uri, was attentive and personable throughout our dinner. Dean Fearing made a point to visit every table and was very engaging and a pleasure to chat with. We had an outstanding dinning experience and would not hesitate to dine at Fearing’s on out next Dallas visit.
A birthday celebration
Girlfriends visited the Dior at the DMA and then treated ourselves to lunch. It was a treat
Such amazingly flavorful food. Greeted by Mr Fearing himself on a Monday night.
Fabulous as usual
Appreciated the visit from Chef
Lance and Beverly Girouard would like to again congratulate Dean and his wife on their recent marriage!
Showed up a few minutes late and it was no fuss, the hostess was kind and helpful. The ambiance is very hip and chic, good lighting. The food came out and everything we ordered was remarkably delicious! I would go back in a heartbeat, it made me and my stomach so happy!!!
This continues to be the best go to high end restaurant in Dallas.
Incredible hospitality. Beautiful delicious food. Thanks for a wonderful evening service was extremely professional and warm. Thanks Fearings great job
What a great place to experience new food experiences. Chicken-fried lobster is near the definition of oxymoron but probably my favorite way to eat it, despite a trip to Maine!
Great birthday brunch for the family. Try the salmon or the enchiladas. The boys had pancakes. Service was excellent ... and matched the fantastic food! We will be back!
Enjoyed every minute of it! Our meals were amazing.
Very mediocre food, especially for the price. Plating was sloppy/messy. Wife's filet had a "sweet" taste to it, which was strange. The service was great & we received a few complimentary desserts, but the food left a lot to be desired.
Went to Fearings for my husbands birthday. It was a wonderful experience! The restaurant was beautiful, service was impeccable, food was delicious and overall everything was great. 8 of us sat at the Chefs table and also got to visit with Chef Dean Fearing himself. We had a great time, Will Definitely be returning.
It was truly an amazing experience!
Fantastic from start to finish!! Service, food, and entire experience was flawless. Dean is pure class, as is his team. Definitely a cut above the rest. Thank you for an incredible evening “team Fearing”.
Such a lovely restaurant on all levels. Perfect Saturday lunch for friends who long for a quiet conversation in an elegant environment... with exceptional wait staff and food. Thank you!
Everything was spot on.
One of only 2 or 3 restaurants in Dallas that remains consistently excellent.
first visit and was very pleased.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Lovely for any occasion
This was my second time visiting Fearing's and it was not the same as it was 2 years ago. We ordered Champagne which was chilled very well. One of the wait staff said something was wrong with cellar. The food was just ok not served very hot and not as tasty as before. Our waitress was slow to respond and did not check back much with us. I was surprised at the way we were treated. It was my friend Jackie's Birthday and basically nothing was said to her except when we were seated by the hostess, she said Happy Birthday. It just was not a good experience this time around.
We did Sunday Brunch and reserved a table at 10:15 not realizing they did not serve breakfast till 11 which was a slight issue because we were driving back to Louisiana after a weekend of Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Fest. After a deliberation and look at the menu by the folks I was with we decided to hang, got an Uptown Bloody Mary and waited it out....and it was worth the wait.
We saddled up for the "Whole Enchilada" a 3-Course Menu and each chose different dishes and the 3 of us noshed our way through the 9 dishes and not one of them failed to deliver!
Chicken Fried Quail, Lobster Cobb Salad, Braised Short Ribs, Granny's Fried Chicken and Beignets were crowd favs but there wasn't a mediocre dish in the bunch.
The Prawns and Salsa could have used a bit more of the accoutrements such as the pico and salsa but the Dos Equis ins a side dish you poured over made up for it and added just the right little interesting kick.
The wait staff and hostess could not have have been more pleasant and professional. Nestled in the fabulous setting of the Ritz-Carlton could not have made for a better setting.
Great Dining Experience.....
Chef Dean Fearing proves once again why he is referred to as the "Godfather of Texas Cuisine"!
We ate late, and were somewhat disheveled from attending a festival all day, yet were treated with attentiveness and care. The wine suggestion was spot on for our meal, and the chicken fried lobster and filet were amazing, the steak with a flavorful rub, and the crispy batter a perfect foil to the sweet lobster meat. My husbands nilgai antelope was excellent as well. Chef Fearing’s banana pudding was so good I had to find the extra room to eat it all! As it was late, the adjacent bar was a little noisy, but we still had a normal conversation level. Overall a memorable meal.
Until this weekend, I have always viewed Fearing's as a great spot for drinks and appetizers (+ ppl. watching of course) before heading out or even better a fun after-dinner drink spot with the beautiful outdoor patio. After anniversary massages downstairs (splurged this year), we decided to hang back at the Ritz and eat at Fearing's rather than venture out. As an original Chicago foodie, I could not have been more pleased. The service was over-the-top from start to finish, which alone makes you feel content paying a slight premium (~$10/entree) to a typical Dallas steakhouse / steakhouse. The small dining room we sat in was beautiful, our table had multiple staff allocated to us (all very friendly; not an ounce of pretentiousness; no one pushing pace) and the Som could not have been more welcoming. I really appreciated that there were plenty of "good wines" in the $50-$125 range and again was not sold on anything outside our 'hinted' range. The bread, app sampler, local wagyu steak, unique bottle of red from som and lastly dessert all met or exceeded expectations for "fine dining". Appreciate that there are so many "good" restaurants in Dallas now, but I won't make the mistake of forgetting about or mislabeling this "great" (Dallas staple) restaurant going forward. Well done and thanks for such a special anniversary night. -Chris
My wife and I enjoyed the wonderfully created flavors of the quail and halibut entrees. We’ve enjoyed Fearing’s maybe a half dozen times, and have been excited every visit. We consider Fearing’s to be the most creative and delicious meals in the city consistently executed.
Nice place (ambiance). Fewer options at lunchtime. Wait staff was overburdened. Received three different incorrect bills. Two out of three meals served were nicely done; the third was overcooked.
Amazing food compositions, a knowledgeable staff and extraordinary bourbon menu!
The food, services and ambient were great! Just the waiting time between appetizers and main courses was unusually long.
The food was incredible and service was outstanding! Thank you Fearing’s for the perfect anniversary celebration.
My husband and I decided on Fearing’s for date night. This restaurant does not disappoint! The food is simply incredible! We had an opportunity to meet Dean Fearing himself! What a treat! Our table service was provided by Candace who remembered us from our previous visit; she is so sweet and made sure we had an awesome experience! Dallas has lots of great restaurants, but this one is at the top of the list! Thanks
Our experience at Fearing’s was nothing short of amazing!! Kudos all the way around
Fearing's continue to be a mainstay of the finest restaurants in Dallas. Hard to imagine it is now 12 yearss old. Creative food, superb wine list, excellent service and they do not rush you. And if you want just a simple steak - the beef is superb. Want to linger over a cocktail before ordering - please do. Want an after drink drink after desert and coffee - yes! Just a wonderful imaginative dining experience. Dean Fearing's cooking is still top notch. Worth a trip. You will not be disappointed.
