Food was overpriced and it was just ok. I was really looking forward to eating here, but it wasn’t anything special. The burrata appetizer dish sounded interesting, but was bland. My salmon was just ok and the squid ink pasta was very salty. I wouldn’t come back when there are so many other restaurants to try in the Tampa/St. Pete area. I think this restaurant must have been great at one time, but has gone downhill.
Lovely place loved the food bar tender was amazing and table service was great!
Didn't know beforehand that the restaurant was scheduled to close forever on December 29th and all the employees would lose their jobs. The food and service reflected a lack of care and was not very good. A big disappointment since we were here for Thanksgiving in 2018 and the food and service were amazing. We began to suspect something was very wrong when it took almost 30 minutes to get our cocktails, at a time when it wasn't very busy yet. Then, discovering that there were no implements (seafood forks) for the crab legs, mussels and fresh oysters. We had to use our dinner forks!!! Last year's cheese board was amazing, but this year only one cheese and one salami and mortadella. No olives or other usual accompaniments. The main course was served entree-style, not buffet. The turkey was not very good and the portions were meager. When you pay $69 for a Thanksgiving buffet, you expect a buffet. In all, our bill was over $230 with cocktails and wine, two of which were comped because of the poor service. The highlight of the afternoon was the validation of our parking valet. That should say it all...
My wife and I wanted to try Farm Table Cucina before it closes at the end of the year. We have been downstairs for lunch and shopping many times since Locale Market opened, but this was our first visit upstairs at Cucina. We were seated at a nice, quiet table in the back overlooking the bar. Our server, Mathew, was very pleasant and efficient. He did a nice job explaining the menu and steered us to the fried cauliflower for an appetizer. It had various spices, bacon, and a sauce with some zip. I liked it. My wife did not. But, we agreed it was way over priced for what it was, basically, cauliflower. Our entree’s were excellent, however. I had the Triple Tail fish and my wife had the porcini and mixed mushroom pasta. We shared each other’s and enjoyed both very much. We had a reasonably priced unoaked Chardonnay that went well with both entree’s. All-in-all a nice meal in a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, this restaurant will be gone in a month, and BE-1 is redesigning the entire space for an Armature Works type food court similar to that on Riverwalk in Tampa. I’m just hoping BE-1 doesn’t ruin this venue like they are on their way to doing to one of the best restaurants in St. Pete’s Passa-Grille. This same BE-1 acquired SeaCritters, a quaint waterside restaurant that has been a favorite of locals in this beach community, and those in nearby Tierra Verde and Bayway Isle for over 20 years. In less than 6 months BE-1 has changed the best, fresh lime-juiced Margarita on the beach to a blah mix, while raising prices, and reducing the clientele to unwitting tourists, while losing most of their loyal, long term customers. This “experiment” is a business school case in failing to listen to customers (and their feet leaving)...What a shame. Hope the new venture at Sundial in downtown St. Pete goes better than BE-1’s SeaCritters “experiment”.
As always the food was excellent. The only disappointment was that the tree lightning for Sundial was going on and where we sat the voice level was high and the screaming kids running around (using the restaurant bathrooms).
I am so sorry FarmTable will be leaving. My husband and I have enjoyed the dinners and happy hour over the years. Hope they will pop up somewhere else.
We love this place! It isn't cheap but the quality is outstanding and we love the ambiance.
I’m truly going to miss this place. Thank you for a wonderful meal!
Great in the past very disappointing this visit ... service was decent ... food lacked wow factor just average barely ... maybe just a off night usually pretty good
Food & service excellent.
Shout out to the manager Chad & sommelier Julian👍
Pricey, but worth it. Noisy inside but delightful outside. Service, outstanding.
WOW! I have traveled to many places and eaten in some very well known restaurants. Who knew I had such a gem in my own back yard?!?!!! We will definitely be eating here again, taking people to dinner here and recommending it to people! Everything was delicious. The only dish we didn't eat were the potatoes. Not because they weren't good but they were "just potatoes" compared to everything else we had.
Sorry that Farm to Table will be closing at the end of the year
We had a great evening at FarmTable! The food was outstanding and the service from Eric made the night extra special!
We ordered the "tasting menu" recommended by Chef Kendra. It was a 5-course extravagant sampling of what the FarmTable Cucina has to offer selected by the Chef Kendra in our case. Once started, imaginative delicious dishes kept rolling out of the kitchen as just the right pace. Our server was great too. The tasting menu was ordered by requested and not listed on the main menu, but it ran $60 per person. Considering the scope and quality of our dishes the tasting menu was no doubt the best value, but bring your appetite because the 5 courses is a lot of food to consume...so it many not be the best choice for calorie counters, but once in a while it is OK to splurge and not just order a salad w/o the dressing. FarmTable Cucina has a good vibe and would makes an excellent GF/BF date restaurant, but for a first getting-to-know-you date it was a little too noisy.
Perfect preparation! Love that they share recipes. Easy to convert measurements to make at home.
The wild boar bolognese was SO good. Out of town visitors and we came to this spot two nights in a row. Great menu, quality and service was wonderful! (Eric was knowledgeable, helpful and attentive)
This is easily one of my favorite restaurants in the Tamp-St.Pete area. The food and service never disappoints.
Creative menu with locally sourced ingredients. Quiet setting and excellent service. Particularly enjoyed the homemade pasta with clams and sausage. Ease of covered paid ($6 all day) parking across the street was an unexpected treat. Will return.
Great organic food, knowledgeable servers, super location
Creative, healthy, delicious
The food was very good. My husband had the swordfish (catch of the day) and said it was the best he had ever had. My pasta dish (eggplant) was also very good but not a lot of it. I should have ordered a salad. But what we had gone there for the most was the desserts. However they changed the menu and a dessert we loved is no longer served. None of the desserts really interested us so we didn't order one. Our servers were all super nice. Our main server was also super busy. We were OK with that as we didn't need a lot of attention. But I wouldn't rave about the service. We've been there before and didn't recall it being so noisy. This seems to be a trend for the ambiance.....? We will be back.
Server was way too chatty. Whatever happened to the invisible service that used to be standard in fine restaurants?
I’m still getting used to dining in a strip mall of some sort :) but the place is amazing! great food, atmosphere and service top notch!
Just overall a great dining experience!
FarmTable Cucina continues to be one of my favorite restaurants in St. Pete. The food is outstanding and the wine list is exceptional. It is an excellent value, especially on Wednesdays when wine is 50% off by the bottle.
outstanding food and service great location I will go back anytime
Our server was wonderful!!
Great menu varity
A favorite! Great food, great wines/beers, great service, great vibes! We are lucky to have FarmTable in our neighborhood. We have also had their Chef's Table and Taste of Cucina experiences, and they are truly special!
Food and service were excellent. One of the chefs even came to the table to discuss my allergies.
Amazing food, amazing drinks, wonderful service. The pace was perfect for the occasion.
Amazing food, and Eric is a phenomenal server, he definitely adds to the experience and is a good guide for the best dining experience.
The restaurant had a private party and we could hardly hear our table conversation. Plus the waiter kept interrupting us and the food came out too fast. But the food is excellent.
We were seated beside a large cocktail reception on the patio. Very noisy. Not the quiet night out with my wife that I had planned. I inquired about a quiet table indoors, but they had another reception inside! Close the restaurant if you want to cater! Very disappointing but more disappointed in myself for not leaving.
New menu is excellent - great vegetarian options. Service was as ever excellent as well
Genevieve, our waiter, was a delight! Our food was very good, especially the boor pasta, the appetizers, the mahi mahi, and the tiramisu. The brioche/sorbet dessert was NOT a good combo; and the mushroom pizza was a bit dry. The room is pretty noisy; not conducive to an evening of conversation, unfortunately. Maybe we will come back for lunch on a rainy Saturday afternoon, as we did the first time.
We celebrated my husbands birthday here and the staff were so great; they had a birthday card on the table and gave us a small dessert to celebrate! The food and wine were delicious!
Great food and Service! I will come back!
Great food !
Dinner was exceptionally good. Scallops, freshly made Pasta, prime steak, farm fresh veggies, cheeses, charcuterie, in house foccacia and flat bread. The desserts were incredible: have the one with peaches, blueberries and corn (!!). You will not be disappointed.
