   The Fairview Dining Room is a very nice place to eat a relaxing lunch. The view of the golf course and the seating arrangement is ideal. The menu is substantial in that you can order a Duke Dip (excellent) or a Jam Burger or a steak. The salads and appetizers (in particular the crispy oysters) are excellent. I hosted four people, who had never been there for lunch, and all of them had a superb time and totally enjoyed their food. I would recommend the Fairview Dining Room for lunch, especially if you want to have a relaxing and excellent meal.

   Outside had a great view of the golf course which also plowed us to watch the sunset (bring sunglasses). The service could be better for the level of dining expected but not a deterrent.

   Food was good and had no bad problems with service, but the service just wasn’t what you expect from a restaurant that continually touts itself as a AAA 4 diamond restaurant. The waitress announced their beverage selections as, “We have soft drinks and stuff.” She was not familiar with the wines on the wine list. We did not receive bread until after the salad course. She had to write down our order for two people. Long wait between courses and had to ask for water refills. Many around us received their meals before us even though they arrived after us. Our server did not notice that it was our anniversary (per Open Table) until she brought the check. I assume they must give a free dessert or something because she brought a small chocolate torte although we had already ordered, eaten and been charged for our desserts. Finally, the dessert said, “Happy Birthday” instead of anniversary.

    The Fairview will not seat you until the time of your reservation and not a minute sooner! The menu has a very good selection and everything I have tried is excellent! The restaurant has recently been renovated and has a lovely atmosphere.
