Food experience was delicious. We even took home some extra cornbread. Loved how the staff asked about dietary concerns or allergies. We had none but I got the feeling that they would be attentive to anyone's needs. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

I was a bit disappointed. They lost our order during the processing and it took them about 30 minutes to realize that they missed it. They recovered with grace and I will go back but it wasn't so busy that something like this should have happened. I was introducing Fable to my colleague who had not been there and I had high expectations, so the hiccup was a disappointment.

Fable provided us with fabulous food and service AGAIN! It was definitely worth the drive all the way in from Chilliwack. :) I'm glad, though, that we used the Open Table app to reserve a spot. I don't think we would have gotten a table otherwise. The lineup was out the door!

A really good find for us two Australians. An excellent introduction to dining out in Vancouver. Ready delicious food in a relaxing atmosphere. We will certainly dine there again when we return to Vancouver next month.

Second time there in a week. Food was great presentation and appie (fritter) was excellent. I had the chorizo wrapped pork loin which was good - but not as good as the butchers cut. Great dessert, nice beer and good atmosphere

Canned tuna, the signature dish, is a must-try - plenty of flavours that challenges your taste buds. Portion is generous and accompanied sauce usually is outstanding. Just go!

Fable comes through again. This restaurant is epic for unparalleled creativity and delicious surprises. It's certainly among the best of Vancouver. Try their milk buns or for dessert s'mores and you will most certainly agree. Plus the service is tremendous, 5 star.

The meals were wonderful, especially the gnocchi. The restaurant coped very well with those of us who had special diets--they were accommodating and not annoyed by it. While the menu is not extensive, there is something for everyone. Service was great and not obtrusive. Very friendly!

Love love LOVE this place. Have had brunch and dinner there and every time: the food is great (and if not they will go out of their way to get it right), the ambience is comfortable yet suitable for a date night, and the service is stellar. One of my favourite places to eat.

This meal here was greatly affected by a rather self-centred waiter who refused to answer a question about the menu until the whole table had arrived to save his voice, and who declared that those of us who liked chocolate desserts were really missing out on life. Honestly, he was such a downer on the overall experience. Prime rib was undercooked, too, to the point it was hard to cut. The desserts were good.

The food was excellent!
We had to stop for a hospital visit and were almost half an hr late for our reservation. They were very kind when they phoned us to ask if we were still going. We said yes...and sure enough, the table was still there.
Noisy and not a place for big gatherings. Not a lot of choices on the menu but everything was yummy! We had the egg benedicts...it was delicious.

Loved the food and service but the music was so grating - 1970s R&B at high volume was enough to make me lose my appetite. Why does the music have to be so loud? I'm always reminded of North America's fixation with loud music when eating in the convesration-fuelled restaurants and cafes of Europe. This was my third time to Fable and despite my affection for their farm-to-table menu, the great execution of the food and attentive service my husband and I will not return because of the ambiance.

Didn't really need a reservation as it turned out, but even though we were late due to no parking being available within 5 blocks...they were very gracious. Food was great and it was entirely possible to actually converse given the lovely not noisy atmosphere.

The food at Fable is always good. Their vegetarian options are so flavourful. The menu is a bit on the small side and sometimes confusing whether I should order an appetizer and main or some appetizers ARE mains. There were also a bunch of fruit flies at our table which is bothersome when trying to enjoy yourself. I would come back though, the food and service is always good.

The staff could not have been more pleasant than they were and the food - FANTASTIC!! The duck breast with hollandaise was amazing as was the pasta of the day and butchers cut. Great find and will definitely go back.

Unique and tasty food worth trying. The staff was very helpful, well informed, and accommodating to us when we called them to let them know we were running 15 minutes late. Fable Kitchen also gives diners 2 hours to enjoy their meal and drinks; FK should be given kudos for allowing diners to enjoy their food w/o feeling rushed.

The menu is slightly different than that posted on their website. We started with the Roasted Carrot salad which was fine, but not terribly notable. A second starter we tried which was off the menu was the salmon collar lettuce wraps served with 3 pickled veggie sides, including onion, kim chee, and what looked like baby celery. The salmon was perfectly moist and the portion was nearly an entree in itself. My wife and I love salmon and found ourselves eating around the sauce which was sweet and tasty, but we thought would have been sufficient if just glazed lightly over the fish.

We were very happy our main entrees. I had the Pork and Scallop entree (which sounds strange and was initially thought to be a chowder) and it had great texture and taste. I only had a taste of my wife's zucchini tagliatelle and wanted more, but she ate it up before I could remember to taste it again. She recommends it.

My son had pasta with parmesan foam. He loved it and I'd recommend that for any finicky eaters. Both my wife and I tried it and liked it.

Lastly, our server's recommendation of the Division Bell cocktail was right on the money for my tastes.

We were glad we made it to Fable Kitchen.

My husband and I really enjoyed our food. To start we had the focaccia with honey, lemon and basil butter. The bread was warm and moist, very good! For first course we had the meatball & spaghetti and the octopus salad, both were amazing and filling. For the main, we had a braised steak and the smoked duck breast and they were both equally delicious! I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Fresh food, good portions, great service!
