I was so impressed with the customer service. All the hostess are extremely kind. Food was great and a great view of the sunset.
Everything was great. Only down side was I ordered my steak medium well and I got it rare. They took it back while I filled up on the sides and my wife finished well before me.
Been going here since it opened. Still great ! Spend many special occasions here and a lot of good memories !
We make it a point to eat here at least once every time we travel to Pismo. It is a favorite of ours and did not disappoint us in this trip.
Surprisingly it was not as exceptional as last time. The drinks weren't strong and the steaks were disappointing. The service was professional though.
Extremely expensive for the good offered. It was a saloon with new York city prices.
Excellent food and service. Would definitely recommend and go again.
Made reservation through open table but restaurant didn't us on their reservation list when we arrived. Had to show app/confirmation. Hostess was not very friendly. Wait staff was great!
Still no points open table reservation!?!
We visit the area every year or so and always make it a point to visit McLintocks. It is a fun and friendly place to dine. Food was great and steaks were tender drinks were great. See you next time.
We celebrated our 43rd wedding anniversary at McLintock's last night and had a great time. Food and service was very good - a little more expensive than we're used to, but a lot of extras were included in the price, including dessert. When I made the reservation via Open Table, I made a comment that this was our wedding anniversary and asked if they can do anything special. Without further conversation, they brought both of us huge ice cream sundaes, which were delicious!! Way above and beyond expectations.
Note: we were there on Friday night of Labor Day weekend. It was very quiet...apparently normal Fridays are very busy, but Fridays leading into a holiday weekend tend to be quiet (and Sat/Sun are very busy)
If you're brave, ask your waiter for a 'head pour'.
We arrived right on time and had a fun time with great service all we encountered were great and service minded
The food was very overpriced and the quality of things in the restaurant like the silverware and the chairs was horrifying. The plates they served us on were way to small for the food, not to mention the waitress forgot one of our steaks and when it did come out it was absolutely raw. I don't think I will ever be going back.
We've dined here several times over the past 14 years and have never had a bad experience. It was kind of funny dining off season and only seeing the place 3/4 full. During summer and on weekends it has a two hour wait.
Great food but you can't talk over the noise. Loud, loud, loud!!!
We always truly enjoy McLintocks. We only go on special occasions because, as much as we love it, it's too pricey for us. The steak was wonderful and my husband loved his pasta. Always love the Tan Ferrari, of course. It was our 50th wedding anniversary.
Always stop here when in town. Great portions, on-line reservations and seated right away
It was really great brought my daughter and her friend and they did the water trick on them so much fun. Food was amazing.
I have dined many times over the years at F. McLintocks and have had some very memorable meals there, mostly when we had a large group with family/friends. The staff can accommodate larger groups nicely and are always very friendly. It is still a great place for families with smaller children and is roomy enough to be comfortable. The food is still good, although on this occasion, both our steaks were cooked a little overdone for the order. I wouldn't worry about that. The wait staff were attentive enough, but on this trip seemed forgetful about any requests made by us and tables nearby even though it wasn't that busy. I would still recommend it, although it is not really the best steakhouse in the area now and might be a little overpriced for the overall experience.
Food was good, pricey so I would go there for a special occasion. We had the rub, shrimp and top sirloin combo..good however steak was not very good. Overall it's a good place to try.
A must for us when visiting Pismo Beach. Service & Food were excellent. It will continue to be part of our Pismo experience
We went for my birthday and it was perfect. My husband's New York steak was the best he ever eaten. My steak and lobster was perfect; cooked just the way I liked it.
The service was great and they sat us next to the window which was very romantic.
There was one thing though. We wanted our steaks, a baked potatoe, and a salad. Why can't we get just that?
Anyway, it was great and we will be back.
We have been coming here for 30 years and this place never disappoints. The food is great and the service is always wonderful.
My family has eating there every time we make it to the beach. Food is always great.
We went for our first anniversary dinner. We made the reservation a month in advance, we we're so excited! We got there, and they sat us next to a group of 50 people, pouring pitchers of water on their heads for entertainment. We asked to move and got a great table next to the window, noisy but we could at least hear each other talk. We ordered food and my husband's dinner was great. I ordered a medium rare steak (supposed to be the pride of steak houses). I got a raw steak. Sent it back to be cooked a bit more. My husband was almost done with his meal when they brought me a brand new blue in the center steak. I was so upset. I won't eat raw meat and my husband was almost done eating. I refused the meal and ate the family style beans and potatoes for dinner. The staff were great and tried to make it up to me and gave us a nice dessert and song to celebrate our special day. But the cook blew it big time and we will never be back. It's disappointing because I had heard such wonderful things about this restaurant. And you only get one first anniversary dinner.
As always this place is amazing. Never had a bad meal here, i have also never left hungry. Bring your appetite becuase you'll need it. They have split meal which is perfect since there is so much.
Great as usual... Steaks, Ribs and Lobster were perfect.........Thanks
Very good dinner for my 71st birthday. I had a T bone steak, the best steak I have had in recent past. We used to be regulars for anniversaries and birthdays but my wife likes Halibut which was removed from the menu. For my birthday I wanted a steak and I knew McLintocks could deliver.
Very fun place. Very casual...
Service was exceptional! The food was scrumptious!
We came for our anniversary. We where disappointed in the ribs! We were looking SO forward to our evening out and we were not pleased.
Great food, filet mignon was best I've had in years. Sides served family style all you can eat. Love how they bring saddlebags full of toys for the kids after the meal. All entrees come with ice cream. Come very hungry and buy a boot mug in the gift shop on your way out for rootbeer floats!
Things where forgotten that we had ordered. Took a while to get refills and we would ask. The steaks were undercooked. Steaks were undercooked And we ordered medium well.
Other than that it was a really fun place to be and I felt like all the servers and everyone we're glad we were there. Food was good and I would suggest this place for anyone.
I hope this honest review does not come off too harsh because this place is wonderful.
Celebrated my motherin-law's 85th birthday. Staff was very accomodating and fun. Lot's of food and very good meal. We loved the tan ferrari after dinner drink, which is included with your meal (our choice over the complimentary ice cream...). We had a great view of the ocean.
The Gest steakhouse within a 20 Mike raduis! From a locals opinion!
My husband had his favorite Tunny Special bacon-wrapped filet, topped with bearnaise sauce, asparagus and shrimp with rice and steamed veggies. He loved it! I had the split meal which included the sides of: cowboy potatoes, onion rings, beans, bread (the only thing that wasn't memorable, not worth the calories), plus a tan Ferrari or ice cream for dessert. They are way too generous in their servings. Always food to take home. I recommend making a reservation for 4 or 4:30 and requesting a window table. You won't regret it. The best food in the entire McClintock chain. Prices may seem high, but you get lots of great food for your $$ which makes it a great value.
Service was great, food was excellent-anniversary celebration was most memorable. Wonderful evening!
One of the best dining houses on the Central Coast.
A wonderful Birthday experience for my wife and I - food was EXCELLENT! Thank you!
F. McClintocks is one of our favorite places to eat in Pismo Beach. The food was awesome. We came from 4 1/2 hrs away to celebrate our anniversary in Pismo just so we can eat there.
The only thing we didn't like this time is that the owner is letting the place go down. The carpet in dining room was super dirty and wrinkly in lots of areas and crumbs were on the floor. Part of the restaurant was blocked off, I think because it was not busy. The restaurant could use some thorough cleaning and upgrades at least on the flooring.
I hope next year when we go back to Pismo it will not be worse. It was a little of a turn off to return, even though the food was delicious.
Service was excellent with friendly wait persons. Food plentiful, hot and tasty.
I especially like the onion rings and salsa.
I used Open table to reserve our party of 8 but had to break it up in two different reservations under 2 different accounts with a special note to seat us close together but was pleasantly surprised to get a call from hostess that she could seat us all together! Experience was awesome!!
