A charming bungalow on Longboat Key, Euphemia Haye is an intimate restaurant with eclectic cuisine, a divine dessert room, and cozy cocktail lounge. Please join us for fresh, local, and creative fare all made-to-order in our "scratch" kitchen.

Our downstairs fine dining rooms are by reservation. Diners are encouraged to indulge in our a la carte menu which includes our signature dishes: Classic Caesar Salad, Signature Roast Duckling, and Prime Peppered Steak.

The upstairs Haye Loft was created for a more casual meal and atmosphere, you can just walk right on up as we do not accept reservations for The Haye Loft. Our upstairs diners may enjoy an abbreviated menu consisting of our appetizers, salads, Famous Roast Duckling, gourmet pizzas, and our nightly fresh fish special.

    Perhaps this was a one off as we have been here many times. The service was extremely slow and the food was not cooked as ordered. Both of our expensive steaks were overcooked and had to be re done. While I was later informed one of the chefs called out sick, I felt the restaurant could have atleast provided some sort of compensation.

    Euphemia Haye is consistently one of our family's favorite restaurants. The food, atmosphere and service are always wonderful. From the time you are greeted at the door to the time you finish dessert, the staff are attentive to every need. The pepper steak and bananas foster are sublime and must not be missed!

    We had a great experience in the dining room with Michael as our waiter, and in the dessert room after dinner. The food, beverages and service were excellent in both locations, and we will return soon.

    My expectations were high given number of excellent reviews; however, having experienced the dining room, I would opt for either the bar or the dessert room if ever I would go back. You can order from the same menu at the bar and dessert loft but these areas are first-come basis only. The main dining areas were divided in sections like an old house with hanging plants and posters all around. The service was excellent as Carter was engaging and treated as well. For drinks and cocktails, we ordered the Tattinger Rose and Negronis The mixologist proved worthy of her craft. On to appetizers and dinner entrees, we ordered jumbo sweet and spicy shrimp and smoked salmon on buckwheat crepes. There 4 butterflied shrimps lathered with sweet spicy sauce which were good but we could debate on the size as jumbo. The smoked salmon which is in-house was excellent. The taste not salty and very generous, something I would expect for $19 fare. The main courses were quite disappointing and typical old-French cooking, ladened with sauce. We ordered Euphemia Prime Pepper steak and Key West Snapper. We also ordered sides of the caramelized onion mash and sprouts. The steak was covered with peppercorns and sat on its sauce. You cannot hardly taste the steak as the peppercorn and sauce were overkill. We had ask for another plate to separate the steak. The snapper was covered with burnt pistachios over butter blanc sauce. I could not hardly taste the fish as the burnt pistachio was all I could taste. The mash was too salty. To our surprise, the sprouts were cooked just right. Since, we were ate at the dinning room, we had access to the dessert loft, which offered a multitude of options, it was a feast for the eyes and all in-house made. We ordered the peanut butter pie and pear torte, which were both good. The total bill food, drinks, and dessert, excluding tip was $400. I think is too high for a less than stellar experience.

    Wonderful dining experience only marred by LOUD TALKER with no self awareness whose talking dominated their table. I wanted to wisoet “inside voice” like mom used to do but I’m not rude to other adults. Food was fabulous. Other tables were gracious including a pair near us celebrating their 32 anniversary. We were celebrating our 33rd. Highly recommend.

    I had the Duck and it was great. The after dinner drinks and desert upstairs was to die for. What a great evening

    The whole experience was great. Food was really great and desserts upstairs were huge and tasty. The duck I had was the best I’ve had since my father in law owned the Duck Joint in Manhattan back in the 70’s. It was done perfectly. We will definitely return when we visit Longboat Key again
