Ethiopian Love Restaurant is a group-friendly place to eat in Honolulu. Inside, the intimately lit dining room makes for a wonderful place to sit and have a good conversation. Cuisine at Ethiopian Love Restaurant mostly centers around traditional dishes from East Africa, specifically Ethiopia. Tasty sambusas (fried triangle pastries with savory filling) are the popular choice for an appetizer, and can be ordered as vegetarian or not. Food is served for a group on one large platter is flat breads for everyone to use for eating. Sauces and dips are served with the meal to enhance the flavors.     Small eatery in Chinatown. My FAVORITE! The food is authentic and very good. Everything is served on a large platter to share. BYOB is nice as well. Love the attentive and friendly staff.

    Ethiopian Love Restaurant is great for Americans who boast about their favorite finger-licking-good African restaurant. This is a first in Honolulu and the restaurant will draw back visitors and residents who have found Ethiopian cuisine to their liking in cities from Seattle to New York. You can even take home leftovers to finger-lick in the privacy of their own kitchen.

    I didn't really enjoy eating with my hands. Food was so-so. We were charged $2 for extra bread that we didn't ask for.

    I had a dinner for celebrating our event here. The staff are nice and access is easy without a car. It's tasty and healthy!

    Kody was a pompus jerk ! He made me very uncomfortable. The waitress was very pushy. The Awaze Wat was black burnt no texture to beef just hot pepper. The veggie sampler was fine. I love Ethiopian food and the whole atmosphere I have experienced at other restaurants. This was not a good experience.

    Nice place, good food. Very busy the night we came, and service was attentive but notably SLOW (almost a 30 minute wait for our food after ordering) - I think the kitchen was having a hard time keeping up with the number of diners. There were 2 waiters, who also seemed spread thin, taking rather a while to get back around to our table from time to time. They repeatedly thanked us for our patience.
