Ernest’s Orleans Restaurant in keeping with tradition of it’s “Old World Charm” has been serving it’s own unique style and flavors of “The Finest” US Prime Beef, Seafood, and Italian cuisine for over 60 years. It will be the pleasure of our formally trained wait staff to vocalize the exquisite “Chef Features” that are available throughout the week. Ernest personally took care of our mother this year on the first year without my father as we celebrated their anniversary. He went above and beyond. The wait staff was phenomenal.

We were seated immediately which was nice. but then things went downhill. We were there for 15 minutes before water was brought to the table, another 5 before bread. The bread was delicious but cold. Our waiter finally took our drink orders 20 minutes after we were seated. It took another 10 minutes to actually get them. The live band was so loud it was difficult to hear anything the waiter said which added to the confusion. We finally got menus at the 50-minute mark. When our food showed arrived we had been seated for 1 hour and 20 minutes. I had the fettuccine alfredo with grilled chicken, it was fantastic, best I have ever had. My wife got the spaghetti and meatballs. They were so sweet I could only call them candied. Totally disgusting. I would go back because my dish was so good, however my wife is a definite no on returning.

Not at all a good experience. Was so excited to dine here on our anniversary. After waiting an exceptionally long time for the food it was overcooked and yet only lukewarm warm when served. We just had to send the fish back. The veal was rubbery and soft shell crab was cool and not at all crispy. Two of us sent ours back and the other two just ate some of theirs complaining the entire meal. No one came to the table to apologize except the guy serving water. So sad but I will never go back. Ugh

Our server was excellent and very attentive. The drinks were well made and prompt. The marinated crab claws and homemade bread were a home run (as always). Unfortunately, our entrees were under seasoned and the snapper tasted as if it had been frozen (very tough to eat). In hindsight, I should have let my server know and sent it back. We always love going to Ernest's but were both disappointed in our entrees... especially with at tab well over $250 for 2 people.

As usual, the staff, the food and the ambiance was great. Out waitress, Addison is a doll, also, Ernest is a true Chef.
