My husband and I spent our 20th anniversary there. Restaurant was great. Service was wonderful and prompt. Our waitress and host was awesome. The steak was delicious! We will definitely visit again.
The food was just OK and was slow coming out of the kitchen. Service was a tad slow as well.

Ernest's Orleans restaurant is one of my favorite restaurants and I would recommend it to anyone. The food, atmosphere and staff are absolutely wonderful.
There was a discussion about the price of an entree which was overpriced and different from the perceived price that was on the menu. Good quality but overpriced and some items are different than you might expect. Explore preparation methods. Crab claws were sauteed with a pesto like sauce. Good, but different.
Great birthday celebration with great food and atmosphere. The crab claws and Bananas Foster were excellent as was our meal. Enjoyed the staff singing happy birthday too! By far our favorite Shreveport restaurant.
Everything was great with the exception of my fried crawfish tails. They were hard, the taste was horrible as of the grease wasn’t fresh at all. And some had tarter sauce already on them, I just sat plate aside and continued to enjoy the atmosphere and my guest conversation.
Ernest's never ceases to leave you satisfied and wanting to come back again. From the bread to the entree, everything is cooked to perfection. Our waiter was efficient and helpful as is all of the wait staff. A very nice dining experience.
One of the best restaurants I've ever been to. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding, couldn't believe how great of an experience me and my wife had. It was our first time going and definitely was blown away, will be a regular customer after that, also got to meet Mr. Earnest himself and he was the nicest person.
This visit was disappointing. While we were seated on time at 7:30pm, it took forever to get our food. Our entrees arrived at 8:50pm with a filet than was cold and overdone, obviously it had been prepared some time earlier before it was served. Our fried shrimp and fries on the other hand were too hot to eat when served as they had just come out of the fryer. The shrimp was devoid of taste. Ernest Orleans has been a great place to eat but not this evening.
Had a wonderful time. Great food, great atmosphere...well worth it.
The food was excellent and and wait time for the food was short. The service was excellent also. I will go back there to eat.
I only said yes because of the food. I wasn't happy with the service & lack of organization. I had to suffer for others. It was suppose to be a special night yet was ruined. My seat was horrible. The only good was the food after I actually recieved it. I'll debate on returning. Although the host apologized many times it didnt seem genuine.
Patrick was amazing and gave us wonderful service. The food was so good and the lump crab was delicious. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant.
Food was not up to our expectations! Have eaten there before and it was much better. Patrick was a fantastic waiter. Small crowd!! Made us a little more concerned about going there .
We ate in the bar, our preference, and there small children allowed in the bar. (Like the movie Sweet Home Alabama, "Oh you have a baby... in a bar!) Shouldn't children be in the dining room only? We have been eating here for 20+ years and we remember when everyone that came in Ernest's dressed nicely without their ball caps and old blue jeans on! It was rather disappointing. Our server, Dan, was great. Food was good.
Food was good. We were seated away from other tables I guess either because we were black or had children with us. Both of the kids were over 10. The waiter stole our DL be careful, took it out of the restaurant and held all of them for 3 days only returning them when requested by management.
Birthday and anniversary
Pathetic service, price does not reflect quality of food (or lack of), but it does have good bread. I do not consider this venue fine dining at all.
A nice place to go for special occasions (i.e., birthday, anniversary).
From the valet to the hostess to top of the line food service, everything was exquisite...Will definitely be back!!!
Wonderful New Year’s Eve dinner. Delicious!!
An extraordinary dining experience. You feel welcomed and like a part of the family the minute you walk in. Top notch service is immediately at your table. Our waiter was friendly and he gave us a comfortable confident feeling that everything was going to be well taken care of. We had the marinated crab claws, Kentucky Limestone Salad, gumbo, and the Snapper Ernest. Perfect!
Outstanding place for a celebration!
A little pricey but definitely worth it. The food and service are outstanding.
I found the restaurant on Yelp and it had great reviews. We were looking for somewhere special to celebrate our daughter’s graduation from LSU Shreveport and also looking for a variety in the menu. Well, Ernest’s Orleans was perfect! To start us off they gave us the BEST bread we ever ate! We also ordered mozzarella sticks that came with a marinara dipping sauce and I decided to dip the bread in the sauce and OH MY GOSH! We all could have made a meal out of this! The entrees were all phenomenal but only matched by the ambience, entertainment and service! Absolutely the best restaurant we have been to by accident in quite some time! Don’t miss this place!
GREAT GREAT food and the owner even came out and checked on us. Crab claws are the best and the meal was some of the best food I have eaten
My wife and I have been going to Ernest's since 2015 and it just gets better every visit.
Patrick took very good care of us! Made our anniversary even more special than it already was.
Our server was efficient, unobtrusive, responsive and friendly. The crab claws were delicious, as always. The steaks were great, the shrimp with remoulade was lightly battered and cooked to perfection. We had a wonderful evening and look forward to returning.
Ernest's is our go-to for special occasions. My husband and I have had a wonderful meal there on our last two wedding anniversaries! We always ask for a couple of things: to be seated in Patrick's section, rock crab claws for appetizers, and a filet!
Tonight was our 10 year anniversary and we had all three!!
Thanks, Patrick, for always making our visits special! And thanks, Ernest, for the amazing food!
The food was excellent as always. Our waitress was not as attentive and we waited longer than usual for refills on our drinks and food. We could understand if the restaurant was packed , but the restaurant was thinning out before we got our entrees. Otherwise, my family and I enjoyed our dining experience at Ernests.
They would not honor our reservation through open table. Said we had to call the restaurant for reservations. Offered a 2 hr wait. The parking lot is not safe and the hostess was rude!
The food was very good. Service was slow. Wait staff did not bring menus until after they suggested appetizers which were grossly overpriced. Two adults and one child. Bill was $307 before tip.
We knew Earnest’s would be pricey, but the food quality was far below what we were expecting. Wait staff seemed to be at odds with each other all night. Atmosphere was terrible and the tables are too close together. If you want fine dining, pick another upscale restaurant, Earnest’s time has passed by. The whole experience was a disappointment.
Food was ok not good or great. Fried oysters were the worst ever. Service was good and prompt. Atmosphere was good. Wife had a frozen drink it wasn’t good at all.
My wife and I both had the snapper with crab meat toping and the fish was tuff. I hope it was just a bad night for the chef. Other than that we had a great time.
Fantastic atmosphere and food!
Excellent choice for arguably the best food in Shreveport/Bossier City. Costly, but for the overall experience it was well worth it. Mr Ernest himself came out to speak to us and help my wife with her baked potato. Drinks and service were on point. Nice to have it in memory if we ever went back to the area with guests.
Food and service were excellent and they had a Thursday nite over 55 special that was well worth the money.
Amazing food and environment, I’d go to Shreveport just to go back!
