Salads & Soups
For years our family has enjoyed this restaurant. Their food never fails to impress, and as a general rule the service has always been above average.
However, last evening we ate here,, and had an awful experience. What we in this establishment as well as countless others-is more willingness to focus on takeout rather than in-house dining. We watched as people would walk out with 8 to 10 pizzas apiece, whereas we had made a reservation in advance and waited over an hour and 15 minutes for our meal.
A year has passed since the Wuhan began. And we recognize that many people have begun to focus almost exclusively on bringing food home. Nevertheless, if one is to provide a bricks and mortar establishment with in-house seating, it is time to begin a pivot and focus on those who are coming in, tipping, and ordering beverages and desserts. Takeout is not going to be the answer to at all.
A great restaurant nevertheless if you don’t mind waiting for over an hour
Enoteca Rossa never disappoints! Amazing, authentic cuisine, service and atmosphere.
Over last several months we have had a variety of meals...all have been very good!
Needed to have a dinner date since wife was traveling on Valentine’s Day. This place always has great food, despite the recent winter storm. Some varieties of wine were unavailable, so I had to make do on cocktails! Great dinner again.
Service was great and atmosphere was pure Italian. Absolutely enjoyed it.
This was our first indoor dining experience in almost a year. We were two weeks post covid jab # 2. We were seated at the end of the bar away from other patrons. We were giddy and silly and carefree. The waitstaff seemed to understand and played along a bit. We had mussels, melon and burrata salad, and lasagna, combined with a few shots of tequila. The food and the service were outstanding. A truly memorable evening for us.
Very safe set up for Covid regulations. Nice lunch and staff was attentive even though they were a little stretched. Glad to continue to support the restaurant. Grateful that it's still open.
Made a reservation for table outside. It was a nice evening and everything was delicious.
It was great but there was a glitch in how we earned the points
For some reason the reservation ended up as canceled when indeed it was not since we had lunch there
Something went haywire
We really enjoyed the ambiance, the friendly service and a very knowledgeable Sommelier. The food was outstanding!! I highly recommend any of the wood fire pizzas and the olive oil cake was superb! We will definitely be back for more.
Ulysses was wonderful! Food always fabulous as was the wine!
We had a wonderful meal and good wine.
Terrific meal, wonderful service, very good food! Fish specials were excellent but quite expensive at $40 each. Pizza was amazing, as always. Pasta was wonderful. Great wine list. Terrific spot!
Too crowded for pandemic times. Didn’t expect tables to be this close to each other and basically full to pre COVID times. Service was slow and lacking last night. Not the typical friendly and awesome service. Great food. Great wine recommendation. Will continue ordering but no plans to come back to eat at the restaurant.
Overall, Enoteca Rossa was a fantastic find. Unassuming and a bit off the beaten path, the food, service, and ambiance were great. We arrived early to beat the crowd and pretty much had the place to ourselves until about 6:30 on a Saturday evening, then it started heating up and was bustling by the time we finished around 7:15. Mostly pros, two cons as follows:
1) As mentioned, we arrived early and the place was empty. Great, that’s what we wanted. The hostess sat us in the far back corner next to the kitchen - not the best table in my opinion, but we were ok with it considering our social distancing preferences at this time. About 10 minutes after we arrived, a couple walked in and the hostess sat them at a two-seat table about 3 feet from us. The entire place was empty, why not seat them a little farther away? We all looked at each other confused and thankfully the other couple asked to be moved farther away. About ten minutes after that, it happened again! Another couple came in and they were seated at the same two-seater. Again, the couple requested to be moved farther away. First, that table should be removed - it is awkwardly placed, and way too close to the other four seater in the back. Second, the hostesses should aim to be a bit more considerate, particularly during a red Covid threat level.
2) The food was fantastic, but I thought slightly over-priced in some respects. $23 for three medium-sized scallops and some watercress as an appetizer special, $17 for a smallish skillet of lasagna. Tasty nonetheless.
Definitely recommended, but if you’re trying to stay away from crowds, go way early or maybe get it to go until the pandemic dies down.
We had a reservation for two and have dined here many times before. After looking a bit for a table, they wanted to seat us at a small high-top in the bar area (which does not require reservations). The table was much closer than six feet to other tables, and we chose to just eat at open seats at the bar. While we were disappointed that our reservation was not honored, seating people within a couple of feet of other parties is not good in the current time. For context, we are not the sort that is extremely cautious with distancing, nor are we cavalier with it.
As for the meal, our pizza was slightly under-cooked, but we did not send it back as we just wanted to get on our way.
I read other reviews, and they say they are under new management. It wasn't great before, and there does appear to be a decline from even that. I doubt we will return, even though we like to support local neighborhood establishments.
Perfect ambience, incredible service and outstanding food from start to finish. My business partner and I came to celebrate a new company milestone and strategize so the noise level was perfect. Emma June was one of the best waitresses we have had in a while and she made great recommendations. We will certainly return with clients and for future celebrations!
Just overall not a good experience. I requested some changes to my food and they did not change a couple of simple things. Very dark restaurant and the staff is very busy and quick to leave once your order has been made in.
The food does tast amazing but not the right atmosphere
great restaurant, great environment, amazing food, great service! 5 stars!
We love this place! Great neighborhood spot with great ambience. The food is delicious!
Excellent experience overall. Very accommodating to our date night
I love this place --the food is so good, and its casual, romantic atmosphere makes any meal special. Highly recommend!!
Food was good I will return again nice service pizza was delicious.
Enoteca was great (as usual). COVID procedures were excellent. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
Our sever kyla or was it kyla, was the best. Quick service, very polite, as well as friendly. We will return soon!!
Food and Service were outstanding
Great neighborhood place. Definitely appreciated the outdoor seating - its a small patio area but the tables are spaced apart. Good food, good service, good place to socially distance dine!
Great local with ample outdoor space - good for full blown dinner, quick lunch or brunch.
Food was great as usual. Service was better this time compared to last. We make reservations on open table and it seems the restaurant does not get our specific requests for a certain table. This is the 2nd time this has happened that we did not get the table we wanted. The hostess told us to call rather than use open table.
Anastasiia was amazing as always. We tend to get her every time and she is top notch! She never forgets anything and is attentive without being intrusive. Food was delicious. We tend to get apps and pizza
As they are the best there. We got mussels, scallops, meat and cheese board and Happy Hour pizza and wjne for $25. Every thing was cooked perfectly and so tasty.
By Anastassia and again the food great. Highly recommend this hidden gem in Bellaire/West U!!!!
This place never disappoints. Food, service, and ambience is always on point. Highly recommended.
Food and service was great. It was too cold inside as they had windows and front wall opened up.
The service was exceptional. I look forward to dining here again.
The fish was very small, overcooked with no flavor at all. The artichoke appetizer was a hit. The ravioli with veal was very good. The service was adequate but still pretty slow. All in all we had a nice time but will not hurry back.
Pasta was great, pizza was ok though my daughter differs, chicken breast was ok, eggplant was good.
Great atmosphere and the food was excellent. Will return.
Excellent in all ways!! Try them. You won’t regret it!
Nice neighborhood spot for a quiet meal. Good wine list and friendly staff. The lighting is pretty dim.
