Emory's on Silver Lake
I love eating at Emory's. Tried the pizza...wasn't really good. Not really known for pizza. Salads and drinks were great. Will go back, will just stick with the seafood and pastas...
We first were sat on the outside patio where it was cold around 6p.m. so we asked if they would turn the fireplace on and we were told it was broken. Service was slow. Eventually, it got to cold so we were moved to the open bar seating. We ordered several appetizers and entrees and asked for our food to come out individually as it was ready as we were in a hurry and very hungry by that time. An hour later, the waiter brought everything at once! 7 different plates on one small bar table! Not only did we not have enough time to eat everything without food getting cold, we were late to our next event we had planned for the evening. Having to box up half of our food. When we asked the waiter why he did not bring the food individually like we asked, he said that is what the Kitchen choose to do. It was a long wait, we were cold and hungry and ended up not getting to enjoy the overpriced food. Horrible experience. Hopefully this was just a once and a life time bad experience at Emory's as I feel there location and atmosphere is amazing. But having a non working fireplace and waiting over an hour for our food and then all at once is not acceptable at the prices they are charging.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly and wonderfully efficient. I would recommend this place to anyone. I am hoping next time I visit, it will be sunny and warm and can enjoy the view.
This is our 3rd year going for dinner here for our wedding anniversary. They don't do anything special for this occasion, but...the food was very good. They even split the dinner we ordered after telling them we'd share it, after ordering 2 appetizers. It was a bit on the loud side, but that's to be expected. Parking is always a challenge with this popular place especially since there were dozens of dressed up high schoolers in attendance. A little on the higher priced side, but nothing outrageous. I recommend!
Emory's made our first anniversary dinner very special and memorable! We had excellent service, seats with a lovely view of the lake, and they took and printed out a photo for us. There was also a very kind couple sitting near us who bought us a dessert! We will definitely return to Emory's in the future.
Loved everything about this place except the noise level was pretty bad.
Emory's was just OK. I wish I could recommend it more highly. Some of the food was good -- like the buffalo cauliflower. The teens' burgers and fries were cold and less than what one would get at a basic family restaurant. Same with the fish and chips. The reason we probably won't go back though is the indifferent service. I made the reservation including a mention of our wedding anniversary which was completely ignored throughout. When I shared this special occasion with the server when he mentioned their photographer (who never came). Not even a simple "congratulations" or "that's nice" either. I'd asked for a window table and was basically in the closest seat to the bar instead, though we could look past other tables and see the windows.
It's a nice looking place, and I wish their food and service matched. They don't. And while I appreciate their use of technology when the check came, laying it out so everyone sees the bill and including a 20% tip recommendation in the numbers kind of summed things up. Emory's lacks class. That said, if I'm in the area looking for a sports bar, that area looked kind of run (truly). Would also recommend it for high schoolers looking for something more "adult", but far from fine dining.
We went for a date night. We were seated at the time of our reservation. The food was great! We ordered the heirloom tomato caprese and buffalo cauliflower bites, both were delicious. The bread and garlic & oil was amazing as usual.
For dinner I ordered the ribeye and my wife had the poke. We were stuffed.
I ordered the Cabernet Sauvignon that was recommended as a pairing for the ribeye and was not disappointed. Our server was awesome and very attentive.
We left full and the bill was reasonable, and made even better that we got a credit from the dining rewards.
We’re looking forward to the next time!
I gave it a 5 ⭐️over all
90th Birthday dinner! Everything was perfect 🎉
We celebrated our anniversary at Emory’s and the server went out of her way to make us feel special. Food was also delicious. Nice that we can get a wonderful meal without driving downtown.
This is a favorite spot which we have returned to often for many years. Did not disappoint.
This was our first visit to Emory’s. The service was wonderful, the food fresh with generous portions. We will definitely return soon!
The food was absolutely amazing. I wish I could remember our server's name because I would love to give him high marks.
Loved everything about it but they overcooked my wifes $39 fillet (anniversary dinner)( & said sorry (instead of replacing)--that would have been golden. Other than that, all around good experience and decent food for the $.
First time visit. Pleased to be able to sit in the Sunset Room with a nice view of the lake, comfortable and great ambiance. Our meal was excellent and the waiter gave us the right amount of attention. First time we have used a pay at the table technology. The TableSafe system was quick and easy to navigate. We will be returning.
Birthday party. Great experience.
Went here for the first time for my birthday dinner and did not leave disappointed. The food was great as was the service. The view of the lake would be fantastic during warmer weather. We will definitely be back.
The Bouillabaisse was wonderful. The risotto was also very good but a tad rich for us.
Have not visited Bothell area in 14 years. Emory's recommended by a family friend. Very nice setting, prompt seating, waitress was very good and all wait staff was attentive. We had three entrees, grilled salmon, a burger, and dungeness crab over linguini. The first two were great, the later was bland at best. Prices were fair and I would go again and also recommend Emory's to others.
The atmosphere was wonderful for our 17th anniversary dinner. They even commemorated our special evening with a keepsake photo together.
Emory's is a wonderful restaurant with a lodge atmosphere. Located on Silver Lake in Everett it captures the lovely lake views in the windows and patio dining. The food is exceptional. We have eaten there at least 10 times over the past few years and have never been disappointed in the quality of the food. Every entree we have tasted is delicious and served hot and presented in an appealing manner. The wait staff are excellent and attentive. We will certainly return to Emory's in the near future.
It was my birthday our server Mark was great and our steaks and chicken were cooked perfectly the only recommendation is we did not like our stirfry vegetables it was mostly Snow peas only, but other than that it was fabulous food.. also we would’ve appreciated a candle in our mud pie.. it was impossible to sing happy birthday without our candle that was a disappointment to us... A wonderful touch was the photographer who took our photo always so appreciated it ! nice touch
Terese was an amazing server with such a great personality! This was our first time here and we really enjoyed our visit. Food was super yummy!!! Cannot wait to come back.
Good food. Super slow service. Had to ask waiter for refills and things that are normally brought without asking. Waiter would pass by without checking in, and when I did catch his eye, said he’d be right with me walking away.
20 minutes went by between sitting, ordering drinks, and getting drinks. Another 25 minutes to get appetizers and about 40 minutes after that to get entrees. Sat a final 25 minutes waiting for the check after everyone had finished eating.
Have eaten there several times and this was a first. Hopefully not a trend
I’ve been going here for years and I’m never disappointed. The food is really great and the wait staff very friendly. Parking is however not the best.
We were seated immediately, for our reservation. Each employee we spoke with was courteous. Our server knew the menu well. Everyone was very attentive. The food was excellent. The view of the lake was beautiful. I would Definately dine at Emory's again and recommend them to anyone.
Everything was wonderful EXCEPT for my husband's $40 steak. It was 1/2 FAT... really poor cut of meat. But the manager didn't charge us for the steak, gave us free dessert and free appetizers. So, though my husband left without eating his meat, we still enjoyed a good meal for your 26th Anniversary. Nice place. The parking lot is pretty crowded, though. We have a big truck, it was challenging to squeeze into tiny spots.
Nice outdoor seating with a view of the lake. Limited beer selection and my chicken was tough. My wife enjoyed her fish. Parking is tight. Over all pricey but worth going to for a special occasion.
Holly was great. Thanks for a great Friday noght out with the family.
I would recommend it to a friend looking for a casual drink and/or pizza or appetizers. But it’s not a fine dining restaurant for a special event. The halibut was good but it wasn’t worth $35. Service was poor if your expectations are that of an upscale restaurant. My Martini (straight up) was warm and arrived at the same time as my meal. View was wonderful and I will try it again.
The food was great (as usual) and the service was outstanding. Our server coordinated with the chef to prepare one of her favorite dishes (that was not listed on the menu that night). She also guided us to an alternative wine when the wine we ordered was not available. The host found us a booth further away from the noisier area, which was much appreciated since my wife is hearing impaired. Having two separate music soundtracks playing simultaneously does tend to detract from the overall ambiance, but I guess it is not unreasonable since it is, after all, a Bistro and the younger folks don't seem bothered by it.
Love the look and feel of this restaurant on Silver Lake. The food was great (if a bit pricy) and the portions were huge! Servers were friendly and prompt. Dessert was a bit slow in coming; but we weren't in any hurry.
Food is always amazing. We brought a out of town guest along for dinner and the band on Saturday night was HORRIBLE. Luckily he still enjoyed the food but we were forced to rush our selves eating due to The lady singing was ear piercing bad. We will always be sure to check your band schedule from now on. Groove Kitchen is the worst.
Yes I will recommend it , the food is absolutely good but the service was really slow and really poor , but the bill came up really fast ,we felt rushed out of there, our dinner reservation was at 5:30 and we didn't get out of there until quarter to nine, we had to ask for bread and butter half an hour after we sit down I hope that this will help with the service because it's a great restaurant
We’ve lived in Everett since 2001 and drove past Emory’s often. It was our anniversary and decided to try Emory’s for the first time. The wait staff was extremely kind and helpful, the ribeye steak was cooked to perfection and was absolutely delicious. I will recommend them to everyone and now I have a new favorite restaurant.
Consistently bad service. Slowwwww. Forgets things that were ever ordered. I’ve tried multiple times. I give up on this place.
My service rating may not actually be accurate because they were absolutely slammed for a Monday night, as part of a fundraiser for a local choir, but it was still pretty good. The food was amazing, though.
Becca was courteous and friendly. The views from the deck were just perfect. Great menu, too. The food was tastier and more generous than expected. That’s saying something considering how popular Emory’s has gotten to be.
Good place to dine with good view, yet very over priced.
