Emerald Loop Bar and Grill
We enjoyed our experience even with the sleepy baby in a stroller. The staff accommodated us. Thank you to them
Good place to meet friends.
We were blown away with incredible service, friendly and fun staff, and a lovely environment. Clodagh, our waitress was so kind and funny, she really made the dinner so much better. I had the Chirish burger and it was excellent. Fries were crispy and very good. My wife had the fish and chips and loved it.
I stay across the street at the Virgin when I’m in town for business, and the Emerald is so close, it will definitely become a regular place for me.
We are regulars and always have good food and service at the Emerald.
Food took far too long
Enjoyed the meal, good food. Quick service. Quaint bar atmosphere.
Sit outside. Great food. Terrific service.
Really great food and attentive service. The restaurant is pretty loud but maybe that’s just where we were sitting.
Hidden gem. Will be back.
We were set away from everyone else and felt very odd being right next to the bathrooms with no other guests around. We could not appreciate the atmosphere because we were secluded. We did not like that at all.
Disappointment. Charred Brussels sprouts weren’t done. Not even brown. Service slow and underwhelming.
Great place to meet and eat before a show at the Chicago Theater
Great Hostess good waiter need better comfortable chairs
The owner and staff went out of their way to help us with a celebration, and the food was amazing!
Warm service. Amanda from Kerry, Ireland served us and was lovely as we enjoyed both brunch and lunch menus.
I love this spot. It's always a good time, never disappoints. Good food, service, who could ask for more?
Great location! The food was very good - service was excellent. As is to be expected at a pub, it was very noisy but we were upstairs where it was quieter and more conducive to conversation.
This has quickly become one of my favorite spots! It's ideal for happy hours (obsessed with the happy hour appetizers!), dinners, or just hanging out at the bar watching sports. Always lively, food is great, and the staff is so friendly and welcoming. Best part is that they keep their full menu all night, and the kitchen is open LATE. Can't recommend enough!
I know it’s pub food, and didn’t expect fine dining, but it was still pretty bad. Both entrees were very disappointing. The brisket was more fat than meat. The cobbler was mostly dough. The Buffalo wrap was tasteless. Sorry - I don’t usually write bad reviews, but they need to know.
Corned beef was very fatty. Should not have been served. Normally the food is quite good. Will come again but will order differently. Great beers and fish tacos that my friend ordered were delicious.
Service was excellent and attentive. Although we were late, they held our reserved table, which enabled us to be seated for the start of the Van Morrison concert at Chicago Theater. The food was very good. Great place for drinks and dinner that won't break the bank.
Very Impressed with service and quality of food! Busy busy place and we dine before a show at Chicago Theater ! We will be back!
I'm so glad we found this spot - we joked that we needed an Irish pub (we were coming from a very long day at Star Wars Celebration), and we found one! The food was all incredible (and really well priced), and our server very kindly saved us from ordering two of those giant shepherd's pies (one was more than enough, and it was delicious). This was a great spot to bring my cousins and their young children, too. Overall, this was a great experience and we'll definitely be back.
Best burger in the city I’ve had in a lonnnnnnngggg time!
We stopped in for the breakfast buffet. At first glance the selection and food looked great! Upon sampling the food however, most looked and tasted like it had been cooked hours earlier. We managed to find enough that was edible, but it was definitely not worth the $13. Spend a little more money and eat someplace better.
The brisket is outstanding. It comes with coleslaw (ok but not great), Mac and cheese (very creamy) and peach cobbler (ok). The Irish Gold mixed drink was peachy and very refreshing. I would definitely go back for the brisket. The noise level was high and the servers were stretched but it was a busy Friday night. Our server forgot our appetizer but service recovery was good. Overall it was a very good experience.
We were looking for a place after a day of sightseeing that was close to the WyndhamGrand where we were staying. Saw this restaurant from our window and decided to give it a try. Wonderful food! Our grandsons had fish and chips which was enormous and really good. I had the seafood curry and my husband had the all day Irish breakfast. Both were delicious! A bit noisy bu we sat in the area away from the bar which was good. Would definitely go back!
Great food and great service!!
We were there for our 5th Anniversary date, accompanied with a concert at the Chicago Theatre. It was a great beginning for our concert. Food was excellent, we don’t visit Chicago often but this is one restaurant we will gladly visit again and again.
Nice Irish Pub, great bar, good beer and cider. The Angus-beef burger was perfect, excellent taste, medium-rare at the point: delicious! Was there in the evening, so noise-level was high (as expected :-))
Solid place. Food is better than expected
We showed up 30 mins early and our table was already set up. Service was amazing! Half off the table ordered from the menu, the other half chose the breakfast buffet. Skip the buffet and order from the menu. Food just wasn't as fresh. We would go back next time we're in Chicago.
Friday night before St Patrick’s Day and I was concerned that my reservation wouldn’t be honored, I was wrong. I arrived early and my table was waiting and ready. It was crazy busy (and loud) but we had great service, great food and a wonderful experience. Thanks for making the weekend memorable! I’ll be back.
St Patrick’s Day, no need to say more!!☘️
We were there early in the evening, before the busiest time. Service was attentive and food came pretty quickly. We enjoyed the baked mac & cheese, and the brisket grilled cheese sandwich. Desserts were also good, the chocolate lava cake being very rich and the chocolate mousse very light but tasty. Prices in general aren't bad for the Loop, though I don't come here often, I took one star off of the "value" rating because over $8 for a pint of Harp is a bit much. I'd definitely come back for the food.
Always spectacular service, food & drinks! I always make a reservation. The crowd spikes when there is a show at one of the many theaters surrounding Emerald.
From the time we walked in we was greeted by friendly staff and that was carried throughout the whole experience. Food was excellent and so was the service.
very good food and large portions. Would you go back soon!
We went for drinks and appetizers. So many good options!
